Right in the heart of tourist-area. High prices, staff that always seemed REALLY busy despite no one being there. I went two separate evenings at the behest of my friends who love doing tourist things when i wanted to hang out at the local bar. Their drinks are very expensive. they do beer to go at $14 for a 500ML growler with the last 100 ML being head-space full of oxygen. They have a $35 margarita where you can take the glass home with you. Pub-fair, etc. Only good restaurant in dock yard though but take my advice and rent a scooter and go to Woodyís a mile down the road.

A nice spacious pub on the far end of Bermuda with a decent selection of local brews. Food was good. Visited last year and still remember it well.

The only active brewpub in Bermuda, and it doesnít disappoint. It is located in the old cooperage portion of the old English naval facility/fort at the far western end of Bermuda. Definitely English feel, from the beers, food decor and to the Premier League on the TV. We stopped in a couple of times while we were here, as it is a 1/2 hour ferry ride from Hamilton. We found the food to be good, having both lunch and dinner. Not anything fancy, just typical English pub fare that was quite good. I especially enjoyed the sausage stuffed pork tenderloin and the very tasty fired we had at lunch. The bar was also quite accommodating, as we also stopped one day for a few beers.

Only place in Bermuda where they make their own beer, so if you are in Bermuda, itís a "destination"..otherwise, itís not. They make their own beer, of the sample I had, I prefer the amber and the porter. Bermuda is a true beer "desert", with not many options beyond this one.

Ate lunch here on our last in port day. Brewing is done on site. Very crowded as the world cup was on the numerous flat screens. I was astonished at first that there was more BMC and Coronas on the tables than their own house brews. had two styles. One was spot on and the other I believe they brought me a bitter instead of their IPA. It soon became apparent that the Frog and Onion is to Bermuda as Carlos and Charlies and Senor Frogís is to Mexico. It just so happens that Bermuda isnít big enough for two of them. Pricey as is all of Bermuda. Food was tasty. Glassware presentation was spot on though. They did push the 48oz. purchase thing with free souvenir glass. Loud.

Traditional English pub with a nautical flair. Located in one of the old Royal Navy buildings. We ate lunch there twice. Food was delicious, plentiful, but expensive as is everything in Bermuda. They brew 5 different beers but only 3 of them were available at the time we were there. Buy the 23 ouncer and you get to keep the glass as a souvenir. One day we sat inside a huge stone fireplace surrounded by large iron chandeliers with white candles dripping wax (reminded us of Phantom of the Opera). The sign over the entrance to the restroom reads, POOP DECK. They have a nice gift shop with great T-Shirts and other items. I highly recommend visiting this place for lunch while youíre in Bermuda. Be prepared to spend $50 - $60 for food and drinks. TIP - 18% gratuity is included in the bill.

Pretty much the best place on this island for a beer geek. They offer house brews as well as some basics that are available to them. Bottles are somewhat suspect which isnít a surprise but their draugh stuff is what you want when youíre there. The decor is typical beach resort with a staff thatís friendly and laid back. Worth a stop if ever in Bermuda.

(Visited 06/2007): Luckily our bus tour that originated pretty much at the furthest part of the island(s) that you can get from the Royal Naval Dockyard, it was a pleasant surprise to end up getting our lunch hour in that port so we could head over to the Frog & Onion. Parking in the area seems pretty abundant. Walking into the establishment from the docks you pass through a garden that is over a century old. It just gets better from there. The interior is all stone and boasts a fireplace so large there is actually a table inside of it for seating. It is surrounded by candelabra that have clearly been in use a long time. The rest of the restaurant has a distinct sea-faring feel. F&O offers a pretty standard selection of beers in bottles but thankfully they have what appears to be the full line of North Rock beers available on draught (although confusingly labeled as Dockyard Brewing). There is also a sampler of 5 beers for $9. Service here was just fine on a weekday afternoon. The waiter knew the beers and took care to explain what each one was in the sampler. The food here is good but expect to pay tourist prices. Both my burger and my wifeís pizza were very enjoyable. Overall this is one of the few places worth stopping for a local beer, although I would go here again just for the food and atmosphere.
