Pretty solid place for a good beer in Dallas. Prices arenít the greatest, but the service is always pretty good and the selection is pretty good too.

The Ginger Man Dallas location is the 3rd I have been lucky enough to visit. It is located on Boll Street in Uptown Dallas. We took Uber there so not sure about the parking situation, appeared to be a small lot for Ginger Man but mostly street.
The red house has a porch outside, and opens immediately to the bar area. The bar is on the right, and there are tables and booths on the left. A chalkboard runs along the top of the bar listing the beers on draught, and tap handles are visible behind it. There is a large beer garden in the back too.
As far as the tap list there are around 75, with many Texan breweries represented (starred on the beer menu), including Rabbit Hole, Real Ale, Deep Ellum, Rahr, St. Arnold, (512) and Revolver. There are a couple cask offerings and many seasonals. Flights are available, including a Belgian, European and Texas Seasonal. The bottled menu is around 100 with a mix of domestic and imports from all over.
Service on a busy Friday night was pretty good. The server was on top of things and had a pretty good grasp of the beer menu. Ginger Man does many beer events so they are obviously invested in the scene.
We did not try any food on our visit.
Overall I am a fan of Ginger Man, and the Dallas location is a worthwhile spot to visit in the downtown area.

A beer bar in a house. No frills, just a place to sit, drink good beer, catch up with friends. Fine list with plenty of Texas options and a good diversity of styles. Canít wait to return.

Visited February 2012.
Another Ginger Man visited, this one in Dallas. Similar lay out as the rest. Dark interior, good music on the jukebox (mostly classic rock on this one), lots of beers to pick from, decent service, and decent food. The beer list is extensive but like all the locations not the most inventive. You can get half a dozen Stone, New Belgium, and Shiner taps along with a few of the other local breweries that donít have tasting rooms. The draft list is definitely a "bigger is better" concept. All that said itís still a fun place to hang out and theyíll do samples. There is a nice patio to hang out on as well.

Visited early afternoon on a Wednesday. Cool older building just outside of the downtown Dallas core. Street parking and a decent Ginger Man only parking lot. Indoors is am comfy two story house layout, with a long bar. Patio in front, beer garden in back. It was a sunny day so I sat out pack and had a couple beers while I got work done. Service was great, laid back vibe. I liked this place a lot.
82 = ★★★Ĺ (Solid place, near the top of the list for locals and visitors)
I only use the total score, not the component parts.

Best beer place I could find in Dallas. I liked the beer garden in particular. Quite good beer selection and food is good too.

Dropped by here with Mar after a tasting at the Covey. Parking was a bit tight since it is in an older part of town. The building is rather old too but with charm-o-plenty. It seemed to have a southern home sort of feel as you ascend the stairs to a front porch sort of area and then entered the space. Busy place where there was just enough room at the bar for a few more. You seem to creak across the wood floors as you move around. The place seemed friendly and the staff was efficient. Decent enough selection where a few local offerings are highlighted. Nifty experience. Iíll be back here if I make it to this part of the country again.

Nice spot in uptown Dallas. Itís pretty chill (on Sunday) and has a nice shaded backyard. The selection is good given my low expectation coming to Texas. Enjoyable place.

I really enjoyed the lived-in ambience of the old house. Multiple visits over the years uncovered an uninspired selection of drafts, with only occasional brilliance.

Great ambiance especially if youíre looking for a nice place to kick back that isnít the typical Uptown/West Village scene. If the weather is nice, the front and back patios are always a great choice. Good selection of beers and they always have some special and seasonal taps rotating through. Could use some more variety of the rotating taps. The food is definitely a step above most bar food but I wouldnít go there just for the food. Easily my favorite place in Dallas to go grab a beer.
