Not really a huge beer place, but what they have is quality. I had a half acre ipa with only 16 ratings.. People come here for the food which is world class, and not crazy expensive. Great spot.

It isn’t easy to rate this place on the beer site. Similar to the issue I’ve had with places like Eleven Madison Park (though this isn’t on that scale). This is a great restaurant that respects beer. That makes me a fan. None of their Haymarket stuff was available (sadly it sells out too quickly), but they did have very nice beers available. The food is worthy of the hype. We eat way too much and spent less than we probably should have.

The Girl & The Goat is located in downtown Chicago on the corner of West Randolph and North Halsted. Metered street parking is available in the surrounding area, as is some free parking in front of the stores on Randolph.
The interior of the restaurant has wooden floors, ceilings and supports, and dark decor. The bar is along the left side with hanging lights above it, and it offers a view of the tap handles.
As for the beers they carry 4 beers on tap from brewers like Three Floyds, Half Acre, Great Lakes and Victory. Additionally there are around 25 from breweries like Revolution, Allagash, Metropolitan, Surly, Deschutes and Boulevard.
Service at the bar on a weekday evening was good. The bartender was friendly and helpful.
I did not have any food on my visit but the plates I saw looked appealing.
Overall I wouldn’t make a special trip here for the beer alone (I just stopped in because it was across the street from Haymarket), but may be worthwhile for dinner with a couple solid beer selections.

The good food and service weights this higher. The beer selection is not bad for a restaurant, though you wouldn’t come here just for that. Still, this is an essential stop in Chicago for the food. Chef does a collab beer with Three Floyds which is nice.

Amazing food, cool vibe, and awesome beers on offer, just not huge numbers. When I was here there were 4 taps and about 25 or 30 bottles, all of which were high quality with good variety of styles.

Excellent restaurant with a small but nice craft beer menu. Alpha King and the like. This place probably shouldn’t be listed, but check it out for the food.
