A great tickers bar. They provide a 4 beer sample, lots of super unique beers you wonít see anywhere else. Local and international rare ticks. Comfortable atmosphere, never busy. Some great eye candy as well. Fun place to check out.

Very quiet on a Sunday afternoon but very friendly bartender and lots of taps to pick from. I initially considered just scrolling past but then I looked at the beer list and realized that I should probably stay. I had a glass of a double IPA from a new Chicago brewer called Spiteful and then a saison from yet another new Chicago brewer called Begyle. The saison was nice but I didnít care for the DIPA. Prices were a little high but not out of control. $10 minimum on credit cards if you donít have cash.

Been coming here since they opened, and the selection has steadily increased ever since. An annual highlight has been their "South of 80" event during CCBW. Over two dozen hand-picked rotating taps, a deep bottle selection, plus the draft flight option. Phoís Thai next door is great for carryout, plus Frasca and New England Fish Co. across the street. Service has always been amicable, and selection is always top notch. The annual "South of 80" event during CCBW is not to be missed, introducing regional breweries to Chicago for one night only. 09-11-2011: Attended the grand opening last friday, they added some nice touches to the place. Ever since the Shire closed unexpectedly over a year ago, I wondered what might be going in here. The Green Lady is what emerged, an intimate low-key lounge/tavern with 30 craft-focused drafts, quite an upgrade from the last two bars inhabiting this space. The front windows were open, dim hanging lamps cast a warm glow, a new tin paneled ceiling, and diagonal cut plank floors were also a sharp new addition. Long mahogany bar on the left, tables grouped on the right with a few retro sofas in the back. There was now tile work along the walls, above a shelf to set drinks on. More impressive were the 30 taps set into the dark wooden back bar, framed in two groups of 15. There was no printed beer list yet, but a large chalkboard in back listed the drafts, and the full list is now up on beermenus, also listed below. Enjoyed the low key atmosphere, thereís also a new digital jukebox in back, and two flatscreens above the bar that were turned off. Service was friendly and attentive, beers were served in proper glassware. A good addition to the area, on a stretch of Lincoln that has itís own built-in pub crawl: Fizz, Northdown, and now The Green Lady.

I donít understand how there are so few ratings on here. This bar is just up the street from Northdown. It has been open for a couple years. This is a cool beer bar! Of the times Iíve been in there I have seen live music, and on another occasion there was bar trivia (which I think is weekly). Lots of fun, good beer, cool ambiance. You can make a beer night out of it by going to both Northdown and here. Iím not sure why, but they are always empty when I visit. They also serve Miller Lite.
