To say this is one of the best beer stors in the world is not an opinion but merely a statement of fact. Located on what seems like a sleepy side street, but in fact just around the corner from Barleyís, this place is like a temple beer. As others have noted the selection is fantastic full of great brewers from all over the world with plenty of seasonals and a couple of rarities to whet your whistle. The service was very kind and hospitable and they seemed very enthusiasitic when we mentioned weíd heard about their store on rate beer. Theyíre very big fans of the site. Parking one the street is limited but thereís a parking garage a block away and they also gave us a voucher for 30 minutes of parking which was very nice. I canít wait to go back again.

after going to college in greenville and watching the city grow itís beer scene over the last 10 years itís clear that GBX is the crown jewel of craft beer in this great city. Zach and Cameron run the place flawlessly and could not be more friendly or knowledgeable about beer. the selection would be hard to beat anywhere in the world, nonetheless in the USA. the growler selection always features rarities, one-offís, and just plain great beers. they even helped my mom out with some growlers a while back, how cool is that? this store really does it right and does more to promote craft beer than to promote themselves. a true "must stop" for any craft beer fan making the trip through south carolina. cheers!

Small store with an excellent selection. Has a lot of stuff that canít be found anywhere else in the area, especially since South Carolina isnít a popular place to ship to from breweries. Very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful service. Great selection of international beers as well.

Been following the Charleston BX newsletter for over a year now, drooling at the new selections and growlers. Now Iím finally close enough to drive down to Greenville from Clemson Quality: Very high turnover (something which is rare in the upstate and Greenville area) - kegs always fresh, excellent growler selections, and the store itself is awesomely laid out Service: Zack and Cam are beyond friendly and helpful...both BAís as well. Awesome service, very quick, very knowledgeable Selection: Cantillion (Lou Pepe/ Rose etc!) and other sours, Bellís, Founders, Foothills, Terrapin, COAST, Sweetwater nuff said...rare/limited release included. Check the website for continuously updated selections Definitely the best beer store Iíve been to, highly recommended

Need you ask? Great selection of beer, just like the Charleston location, perhaps even a bit better. Great taps too, just remember to bring your growler. The staff was helpful when I visited too. A bit pricey, but such is the market these days.

In town this last February visiting friends, and this was on my "must-stop" list. Stopped in on Saturday afternoon, and we were the only ones there besides the 2 guys working at the time. Both were friendly and helpful. Right when you walk in there is an awesome selection of glassware, which I appreciate as I think I love glassware as much as I love beer. Awesome presentation in the store as the beer is categorized perfectly, and I had no problem finding what I was in the mood for. A stellar Belgian section that carried many bottles that I hadnít seen anywhere else in the area, or in NC for that matter. They had about a dozen taps at the back for growler fills. They offer 3 different growler sizes, all of which were reasonably priced. Good selection there. Next to that station is a small cooler section with a good amount of chilled bottles, growlers and mini-kegs. A small island in the middle of the store carries a good selection of domestic offerings. Loved this store. Another one I will revisit when back in town.

Great Place for the location both locally and nationally! Very Good to Excellent selection for the space. High shelves help the volume of choices but do make grazing difficult for little people. But thatís where the service staff come in. Highly knowledgeable and at the ready to help: theyíre there to sell but if you steer them to your tastes, theyíll be honest and upfront on the selections. Overall a great store with great beer for the deep south. Thank you GBX.

Great little store with a great selection. I go there anytime I visit Greenville, which because of this store I wish was more. I would recommend you stop by this store if you find yourself in Greenville. Especially if you find yourself there on a Tuesday or Thursday when they have regular sampling.

Stopped by on my way from Chapel Hill down to Atlanta. Great little shop near the downtown area of Greenville. Walls packed, a nice growler station in the back. Packed full of local and regional stuff, COAST, Terrapin, Duck Rabbit, and even a good bit of Drie Fontenin and Cantillon... Even had some 1989 Thomas Hardys. Itís a must stop in Greenville.

I went to Charleston Beer Exchange a couple days ago and I think this one is actually better as far as selection goes. Certainly there are more taps but there is more floor space as well, hence, more beer. And the selection is very much world class. The fill growlers and they do bombers of draft stuff here as well. Excellent customer service, prices are on the high side. I think there is a garage across the street. Itís is RIGHT next to Barleyís Taproom and the Trappe Door for a nice little beer-centric corner.
