I love the Happy Gnome. This is the single best gastropub I have ever been to. I came here over Christmas break three years ago from Houston, and I simply cannot find another place like it. The selection, atmosphere, service are all things that I want to find in Houston, yet always wind up falling short. I haven’t tried the food, but when I go back, I will make sure I do.

The Happy Gnome is the perfect pub style, beer centric place! Plus they have great food and Firken Fest! This is the place beer drinkers go to drink unique brew and have great food and times with friends.

This place is Great!!!! I’ve been there three times and it is my wife and I’s date place everytime we go down to the twin cities. The slection is great and if they don’t have something you like on tap they have a ton of bottles to choose from. The food is equally as great. It’s hard not to drop over $100 dollar at this place, but it is so worth it. The servers are extremely nice and knowledgable. I recommend this place to everyone in the area!!!!!!!

What the hell? This place is not rated world class? Oh, that’s wrong, just wrong. I’ve frequented places that carry a world class rating in ratebeer e.g. the Trappist in Oakland, CA and Papago Brewery in Scottsdale, AZ. Now, these bars are terrific, but honestly, The Happy Gnome smokes ’em with a selection, service and ambiance trifecta! I didn’t try the food. Like I cared. They were pulling Great Divide Oak Aged Choc. Yeti and Left Hand Milk Stout and New Holland Dragon’s Milk. The fellahs behind the bar slid samples our way all evening long. Hey, what’s up with the sleepwalker who rated the selection 9/15? This place has 70 craft beer taps and over 400 bottles! It’s stout-o-rama and belgian ale a go-go with multiple representatives of about any style in between. This, my friends, is a world class joint.

I love this place. They have a large selection of beers and even keep a seasonal keg in the basement to serve off season. The food is excellent but it can get to be an expensive night pretty quickly.

My favorite place to drink beer. Especially out on the patio in the summer. Great selection 70 taps + 200 plus bottles= Good times! The food is great, and you have to try the cheese. They also have many events throughout the year like Firkin Fest!

The happy G nome is the palce to be for the finest selection of brews! All the surly, some rougues, tons of taps, prices are probably a little steep but most beers you cant get anywhere else. The best beer bar in the midwest!

Really,you can’t find a much better selection than this. Top notch brews through and through.

Very cool atmosphere and an incredible beer list including many cellared beers. I tried Avery 14 which was over three years old as well as a couple of local beers. Easily one of the top five best beer bars I’ve ever visited.

I love this place. They always have Great Divide on tap which I LOVE. It’s also awesome that they do beer dinners upstairs. When I have friends come to town I always take them to The Happy Gnome and they are always in aww of the amazing selection of beer there.
