My favorite place to drink beer. Especially out on the patio in the summer. Great selection 70 taps + 200 plus bottles= Good times! The food is great, and you have to try the cheese. They also have many events throughout the year like Firkin Fest!

The Happy Gnome is an awesome bar, and one of the best places to get a beer in the Twin Cities. The selection of beers on tap is probably the best in the cities. The food is excellent, but more upscale than what I usually want when Iím out drinking a couple beers. It is a bit pricey, but I think you get what you pay for in this case. If you avoid the food, it is much more reasonable. The service is generally good, but I have run into a few strange servers. On the inside the place looks like many other upscale bars, but gets lots of points for the awesome deck area outside. They also hold some great events, tastings, beer dinners etc. Highly recommended.

My favorite place to get a beer in the cities! Excellent and varied taps - over 30. Great feel to it - slightly older crowd- probably due to their pricier dinner menu- but food is very good for a bar. Great patio in the summer, but service is slower out there.

What a great flipping meal. I was being a jerk and asked the server what beer would they pair with my meal. They paired my appetizer and entree. Shut my big fat mouth and dip into the wallet.

Taken to this place by friends in Minneapolis during a 5 hour layover at the airport. Thanks guys! Lots of great beers on tap. I had Tyranena Pumpkin Spice and Summit Oatmeal Stout from the cask becasue I hadnít had them before.. We had dinner and the food was very good. Very cool restaurant/pub.

I made my first appearance this afternoon, a Saturday at 3:00 PM. The place was quite busy for the rather off hour. I was able to find a string of 3 empty bar stools so that I could sit without having to establish territory. The bar tender was really harried with the situation, since she was getting hit with lots of orders. She was nice enough about it. I ordered a Surly 16 Grit and one of the small plates, a rather outstanding Braised Elk Tartlet. I then followed up with a Surly Furious. The service got better as the rush died down. The atmosphere is great, pub like, and the food I tried was awesome. I will return.

Iíve only been here twice so far but I have to say both experiences have been great. The selection they have on tap is wonderful. They even had Surly Darkness in March. I hear sometimes they have problems with the taps and Iím canít say whether that is true or not but I did have a Surly Mild it it tasted gross, hopefully not how it was supposed too. It is more expensive but the fact that they have an amazing tap selection and an even more incredibly extensive bottle selection makes it worth it. I like the food too. Thereís lots of butter in everything but it goes well with beer.

I love all the beer on tap but sometimes they donít update the list so I donít always get what I want. The food is very good but pricey and so is the beer. Overall I good place to go and hang out and have a few beers.

Nice comfortable cozy place to enjoy a beer. Food menu is solid, but itís more upscale so it can be pricey at times. Service is attentive and friendly. Amazing selection of craft beers but...... Iíve been here a number of times and had problems with the beers. Beers will be flat, skunked, and off in general. If they could resolve the tap issues it would be great, until then Iíll go down the street to Muddy Pig where Iíve NEVER had a problem with any of the tap beers.

My favorite place to go for beers. Terrific selection of great beers, very knowledgable and helpful staff, great patio in the summer. A little pricey, but worth it. And flights are now available, but Fíing outrageously priced.
