This place recently re-opened after a refurb and re-brand. The beer selection has improved! Much more overtly beer focused. 20 beers in theory although two repeats meant 18 beers in total of which 7 from the sponsor Camden Town; just two casks. Lots of pale ales - cold, hoppy and a little bit overpriced. Wine list completely gone. Younger, more studenty crowd. No change in bar staff quality. Food situation gone massively downhill, menu shortened considerably and they wouldnít serve us food in the main pub area, which seems odd. And if I wanted chicken Iíd go to Nandoís. Still, itís a great beer selection and makes it the standout beer pub in the area.
Old review - Good pub for food and drink in the middle of Hampstead. Quite a busy place, food is normally decent but can vary, service struggles when busy, beer selection good with a range of Camden Town on keg and a couple of cask beers on rotation - the likes of Redemption and Magic Rock feature. The bottle selection is small but good too. Long wine list.

A great pub&kitchen, home of the Camden Town Brewery. Full marks for their excellent beers on tap, and for offering us samples. Very friendly staff, although both barman and waitresses would have benefited from a more solid knowledge of their beers. Their excellent food (at very reasonable prices) were complimented by their beers. They have a different (and elegantly designed) meny every day. Will definitely come again next time Iím in London.

A decent drinkery in Hampstead with local stuff. A Camden tap so their regular stuff on tap. Unfortunately nothing special. Food looked nice, but didnít eat. As others have mentioned, not worth a detour, but on your way to the heath or Keats House, itís a nice place to visit.

The Horseshoe is a nice local pub located close to Hampstead tube station. The layout is attractive and relaxed - thereís plenty of communal wooden benches opposite a long bar, large windows, and an exposed kitchen in the back room. The service is decent, the beer well kept. I didnít try the food, but it looks OK. What I like best about the Horseshoe is their selection of local beers. So many aspirational posh pubs in London opt for easy choices like Staropramen and Becks. But The Horseshow has a nice selection of beers from the likes of Camden, Redemption, and other regional breweries. The last time I visited, the pub was holding a local breweries tap takeover, a nice idea. Overall, itís a nice place. I wouldnít travel here specifically to drink, but Iíd certainly recommend a visit if youíre in the area.

5 Camden Town beers were on tap on visiting day: very good ales & lagers made in London. Food was original and tasty. Service is relaxed-pro. Jazz music fits with the cosy interior. Place is located in a very nice neighboorhood that is off-centered but definitely worth visiting.

Stumbled across this a bit by accident, out looking for a place to eat one night with colleagues. Small and nice little place, rustic interior yet also modern. Good food, not your traditional pub food but slightly more modern. They had only one beer of their own on at the time. Reasonable priced on both beer and food.

A modernly decorated pub with a very young clientel. The bar is very square, and the cooking area is modernly placed inside thedining area. The wooden plank floor and some lovely dark wooden tables and the high cealings, gives it a bit of an old feel. 1 own beer on cask as well as 3 guest beers. The service was quite fast and very friendly. I had a very nice dish of Sea Bream.
