Decent tap selection. | 94 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 20/20 BierBauch (30) Cape Coral Waterfront Wonderland, Florida | June 30, 2011 Apologies to the owner, I had thought I rated this cool little Pub before. Really cool old wooden door welcomes you to the upstairs of this old Punta Gorda Building and on to a darkly lit English style watering hole. Behind the bar is an impressive selection of about 24 taps (there are a number of bottles also available) Several local offerings along with some of the best Belgian and US craft beers. A burger was ordered and was as good a pub burger as any. Service was excellent as I was offered to sample many of the beers before a decision was made. There were several HD televisions which were tuned to sports. The owner was behind the bar and we had some nice conversation about the craft industry as he is highly knowledged in the art of beer. I recommend stopping here if you’re within an hour or so because it’s worth the trip! | 84 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20 adam42381 (37) Fort Myers, Florida | November 29, 2010| Updated February 12, 2012 The wife and I visited Ice House Pub after leaving the SW Florida International Beer Festival last Saturday. I’d wanted to check it out for a while and was finally in the area.
The atmosphere is exactly what I want out of a British-style pub. Several varieties of pub games, pool tables and 10 dart boards lining the walls. The bar is pretty large and features 25 taps (only 24 were available since Sculpin tapped out about an hour before we arrived). The bottle selection is quite extensive - around 140 bottles according to the bartender. They have a wide array of glassware and everything seemed to be served properly.
The food consists of traditional British pub fare. The wife and I both ordered grilled chicken Caesar salads (I know) and they were decent, nothing special. The service was outstanding. The bartender seemed to be very knowledgeable and was more than willing to explain the rules to the games that were available.
I will definitely be returning to Ice House Pub in the near future. I only wish we had a pub like this here in Fort Myers. I’d be there all the time. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 poorbastard (13) Bokeelia, Florida | February 5, 2010| Updated February 12, 2012 We stopped there after the beer festival and after two hours of serious tasting were in need of food (and more beer). Unfortunately, after 20 minutes we could not get a server to our table. As we were getting up to go elsewhere our server finally appeared and was very apologetic and the rest of the evening was great. They had a good beer selection. Though nothing really stood out as exceptional, any serious beer drinker could find something they loved. For me it was a real Black & Tan. The food was really good for bar food and if you go you have to try the fried dill pickles. Extraordinary! The atmosphere was great too with a wall devoted to steel tip darts. An oasis in a desert of Coors Light! I will definitely be back. | 98 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD 10/10 VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 20/20 Drewsi227 (1) Florida | July 5, 2009| Updated February 12, 2012 Great place, large list of beers, great food, and knowledgeable staff. | 98 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 20/20 vinerd (4) Orlando, Florida | June 7, 2009| Updated February 12, 2012 Place was nice. They had a band playing in the back on Saturday night. Staff was nice and knowledgeable about the beer. All I had to do was ask for a Stout and I received several choices in the blink of an eye. I will definitely visit this place again when I’m back in town. | 98 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD 10/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 20/20 Jellobiafra (10) Sylva, North Carolina | May 16, 2009| Updated June 14, 2009 Version 2.0. Damn the max characters limit. Anyway, it only took one visit for me to get hooked on the beer selection, and one with my wife to get hooked on the food. I’m now a full time regular. My home away from home, LOL. The bartenders are extremely knowledgeable about their beer selection, and it’s extensive. Easily the best place in at least 50 miles in either direction for the beer enthusiast. A good selection of beer on tap, and a great selection in bottles. With Jerome in the kitchen, the food is always top notch, including the best burgers around, and fresh fish and chips (fries for you morons). The wait staff is very attentive, and worthy of a good tip every time I’m there. I’m currently on an IPA trip, and they have much to choose from. Go here, and you will never be let down. Don’t know what you want? Ask Daryl, and he’ll point you in the right direction. | 100 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD 10/10 VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 20/20 drseusszb200 (15) Florida | May 5, 2009| Updated May 11, 2009 the food is good and reasonable the bar tenders know there beer and i love to go there to play snooker and darts. the beer is awesome there to with 24 on draft and alot in the bottle |
