The absolute best beer bar in Attica, if not Greece. Relaxed atmosphere, cool people, nice rock / punk music, great prices, 12 taps, 3 out of which are reserved for guest kegs.

The definitive, no-nonsense artisanal beer pub of Greece. The brews are more than rewarding, service that is both knowledgable beerwise and very attentive to even the slightest details that will increase a customer’s enjoyment and of course a very joyful set of local characters that frequent the place. You can almost always spot the (D)odd Englishman sipping at a pint of ale away from ol’ Blighty! :) Very good atmosphere on big football nights too. Other sports typically displayed at the pub’s tv include rugby and boxing. Sometimes local rubgy teams go to the pub to celebrate or to initiate new members and that is always fun to watch. Pleasant outdoor space for smokers and a highly unyielding policy against smoking indoors. Good thing that it serves no food, except for the odd pickled egg. It is a place to do some proper western drinking, not the typically eastern food and wine thing. You can go to the local chippy (there is a very good one) after your session in the pub. Certain new american style brews from greek artisanal microbrewries can only be found on tap at this place so it is strongly recommended for tourists who intend to steer clear of the touristy path of downtown Athens and wish to see how locals live, drink etc in the suburbs. It’s about 15min away from Ag. Paraskevi metro station on foot. Guest beer on tap for a limited number of days and the occasional unplugged gig should be expected too.

Re-reviewing after a decent time of visits!!!! Still the best place in Greece but grown even better with the addition of some excellent beers on tap (4-5 standard ones, most of which are Greek) or bottle, some bottles that come to Greece for the first (and probably the last) time. 1-2 always changing taps, hosting some EXCELLENT brews! The ambiance is great, the place is great, the music is great, the host (don’t really like the word owner) is great, it has everything it needs!! Forgot: the customers are also great!!!

Local Pub is the place that will make you beer fanatic even if you are not. It has a great variety of beers and you can even enjoy them with people that you don’t know at all. It is like the meeting point of all the people that want to share their love for beer.

Local it’s the place !!! It worth every single klm of my roadtrip from Thessaloniki to Athens, just to enjoy some pints and the ambience. Great and must visit place if you love craft beer. Can’t wait to be there again !!!

Simply the best place in Athens for beer lovers to drink, whether you’re after draft or bottles; local or global; quantity or quality. Prices are very very competitive - I think this is the cheapest pint of the black stuff in town, for example. There are always surprises too: live music, guest beers, special events, 6 Nations’ Rugby. This must be the only truly non-smoking bar in Greece. The Local Pub also provides a really warm welcome, excellent music, and friendly, expert staff. But be warned: it’s almost impossible to force yourself to leave before closing time (at 2 am). And it’s addictive.
