Another bar on the strip of King Street that isn’t particularly beer centered... There are 3 different bars, one is old/dive barrish, one is basically a dance club, and one is sort of a beer bar, but not exactly. The service seems to be hit or miss. Don’t expect beer knowledge and if it’s busy, don’t expect super fast service, but hey, it’s a bar. The selection is just a few local beers and a ton of liquor. Average prices for the area. My wife loves the Bathtub Gin from Rogue... try it! Overall, stop in if you want some booze or to try a few local beers while you’re with non-beer people. Otherwise skip it.

Three bars are all interconnected across the street from Kickbacks in Riverside, Jax. Rogue is a whiskey bar specializing in prohibition style mixed drinks that are very intense and amazing. Almost all are worth trying. Connected is a larger bar called the Loft that has more music, dancing, and touts a typical bar rather than specialty bourbon. In the back of the Loft is a small alcove called the Independent, which is a hidden pub type place where the beer is at. They have about 8 taps and they say 50 bottles. I would not be too excited about the bottle list but the tap list spouts the two microbreweries a block away: Bold City and Intuition. So, it’s worth stopping by here if you are with girls or friends who may not be interested in spending all day churning away at the monster tap list at Kickbacks. So, a much less beer centered experience than Kickbacks, but more fun and a good alternative to find Bold City and Intuition beers if you are out and about after hours.
