No food, crappy washrooms... but agreat selection of Ontario craft beers on tap, and a decent choice of good beers in the fridge. The price is also right - cheap pints.

Since I moved into the area, The Magpie has been a great local and destination for my friends and I to relax and drink a decent selection of Ontario Craft beer. The ambiance is great for youngsters because of the lighting, loud music, and moderate size. Staff were very friendly, but lacked certain knowledge about their products. I was surprised to see that they had Half Pints Little Scrapper IPA from Winnipeg which I think is a great introduction I.P.A to the Canadian market. On the downside, they stopped serving cask-conditioned ale - one of the only places in that area that attempted this sort of style. Overall, I will be back!

Visited late on a Saturday night. Place was almost empty. Decor was hard to make out in the semi-darkness. Seemed pretty basic. Beer selection seemed very good, initially, with a nice selection of Ontario micros on tap. Unfortunately, they were out of several of them. Service was decent, if unspectacular. Some potential here.

Upcoming place. . A reasonable sized bar in an off-the-track place that’s reasonably safe. Inside is a moderate place, lighting, loud music, but comfortable. I don’t think anybody harassed us at the tables, maybe someone else worked there besides Stephanie. everyone happy and not depraved looking so points. Comfortable, actually.Several and only micro taps.
