A superb bar in a residential area just out of the town centre but easily reachable by the CTA and not far away from Revolution. The ambience was perfect for a bar like this. Nice and dark and fairly quiet. Plenty of locals and tourists alike. The tap list contained some whales and nothing disappointed. The staff were helpful and friendly. I will return.

Ended up here by accident with some friends on a Friday. Loved the relaxed atmoshere, was the first place I had ever been too that let you order food in and loved that they had a selection of menus you could choose from. Tap selection was pretty good as were the bottles but overall its just a great place to chillax with friends.

Visited twice in 2010 and again in 2012.
Really down to earth nice place. Enough seating for the most part. Kind of dark which is kind of strange as they have a bunch of random magazines laying around.
Full bar with lots and lots of bottles with some interesting taps. You can always find something you havenít had but just like with any bar that has a ton of bottles you need to be wary of certian bottles (IPAs).
The service is really nice as well. The prices are about what you might expect for a place that knows their beer.
Would definitely visit again, but more for a place to hang out with friends than to try new beer.

I wasnít sure about this place as I emerged from the cab. It looked like a neighborhood dive bar populated by demonic hipsters. Well thatís what it is. The service is a bit to beerier than thou and the water glasses are essentially urine sample cups. Didnít have any food not with Pequodís delivering a notched box of pure deliciousness. The ambiance is awesome. Very laid back very comfortable. Itís the kind of environment beer was meant to be enjoyed. And the tap list. Very editorial with lots of stuff like Three floyds you canít find everywhere. I would definitely go back and not talk to anybody.

A friendly local crowd and gritty atmosphere. Cash only. Was packed when we were there (Saturday evening) and hard to find a spot to even stand with our beers. The list was nice (lots of local craft) though not huge (like, say, Hopleaf).

Excellent bar located in Chicagoís Bucktown neighborhood. This is a must stop for any beer fan. They always have a large selection of beers on tap from some of the favorite microbreweries around plus over 100 beers and bottles. Not much on food but who needs it when youíve got great beer.

Maybe I came at a bad time taplist wise, but was a bit disappointed with this place. Ambiance was ok, Library/Museum looking room with lots of maps, long bar, with tight corners. Althoguh it was busy, it took a very long time to get the attendtion of bartenders and order a drink. Selection was solid, but nothing crazy, and not as great as I was expecting given its rating on here. Beers were ok priced for Chicago, but still a bit expensive and nothing too crazy on tap. Worth it if you;re around, but don;t go out of our way.
