It’s definitely a wine shop first, with beer (and spirits) sitting second on the depth chart - although they do a good job of keeping rare and highly rated beer in stock; both bombers and sixers. You’re not going here for a macro brew, that’s for sure. They hold beer tastings every now and again, and the beer guys here really enjoy talking beer. Because the Wicker Park / West Town / East Ukie Village area doesn’t really have a goto beer shop, this one makes the rotation easily.

A decent store for beer (though more wine oriented), made better that they are next door to Lush. Between them, you can pick up a decent small box of beers. No splitting up individual bottles here. Decent service, butcher look of store. A microcosm of Westlake in terms of selection: some Boulevard, Founders (not available elsewhere) and a reasonable Shelton Brothers and Evil Twin selection. Also close to our downtown hotel.
