Solid off licence located on Clarendon Park Road - a good 25/30 minutes walk from the city centre.
Good few hundred bottles from the UK and across the globe.
Can’t say I’d specifically head here if visiting Leicester, considering the time taken and the fact that there’s little else of beer interest round this area, but may be worth stocking up on bottles if you’re in for a longish train ride home.
I’ve never stumbled across anything particularly rare on the shelves but certainly a solid selection and the best for many miles.

Truly a great selection of small breweries beer. Owner taking his time, helping me out with my quest. He has an ever changing stock, pity I don’t live nearby. Very recommended place for beer lovers. Bit expensive though.

One of the most outstanding beer shop in Leicestershire. A huge variety of different kinds of beers from all of the world. Many beers from craft breweries from UK and some American beers, especially from Sierra Nevada Brewing. The prices are acceptable, but quite high. Owner is really friendly and talkative -- he knows lots about beers in the shop. Highly recomended for all beer geeks.

The selection is vast and sometes overwhelming in the offie. It is very expensive however, with some beers cheaper in the pub!. Other reviews have mentioned good service. I haven't found this, I've not had bad service per se, but nothing special. Who cares though, it's only a shop!

The proprietor Muree is a proud shopkeep, and keeps a fine shop with a keen selection of ales. A tad overpriced, even by the standard of independent beer shops.

Great little beer shop. Owner is friendly, selection is fantastic. A little out of the way, but worth the trek.
Not the cheapest of places however at about £2-4 a bottle, only slightly less than pub prices.

Daniel is dead right. The Offie is the best beer shop in Leicester. I live 5 minutes walk away so it is very handy! Muree is someone I happily chat to long after I have purchased my beers. If you are interested there is a website: http://www.the-offie.co.uk/ Of course there’s nothing better than turning up and having a browse and a chat.

One of the best beer shops in the UK, stacked to the rafters with great quality beers, wines and spirits, and run by the ever so friendly Muree. New stuff pops up regularly, to augment the impressive selections of British micros, and German and Belgian brews. Well worth a visit if you’re in the Midlands.
