Large establishment split into front and back bars. Delicious but large portions of sloppity-glop burgers and cheese curd type food. Extensive and ever-changing draft lift with about a hundred bottles as well, making it the most extensive and highest quality beer selection in Madison for the traveler and local.

I found a seat at the bar on a Friday night (11 p.m.) A little crowded but happy. Friendly service. 54 Wisconsin beers on tap, and there were lots of good ones (double IPAs, stouts, other interesting beers). Samplers of 4, 8 or 12...at $1 per sample (3 oz. each)--I thought it was a great deal. The food looked o.k., with a lot of traditional Wisconsin bar foods (marinated eggs, cheddar popcorn, cheese curds). Definitely my favorite place in central Madison and a great, great place if you’re a beer tourist in Wisconsin.

Best selection of Wisconsin beers in town, they always have at least a couple of offerings from out-of-town breweries that are not to be found anywhere else in Madison. I usually do a taster flight. Easier to get a table than before they expanded but still always very busy. Sandwiches are all good, Friday Fish Fry is a ripoff.

a bar/restaurant that only serves WI beer? WIN! fantastic selection of beer here, great food and cool atmosphere. I just wish it wasnt in F’ing liberal Madison. the crowd spoils the mood for me. liberal shit on the tv and liberals all over the bar. i just tuned them out and chatted with my friend at the bar. I drank Moon Man on tap-very tasty!

Stopped to get a burger for lunch New years Eve. Located right across the street from the capital a old school look with a long bar and a couple of separated rooms. I was in there for brunch at 12:30 and found out it ended at noon (way too early to stop brunch). Saw a massive bilbord above the bar with a list of 50 taps, all from Wisconsin and a note at the bottom OVER 150 beers from Wisconsin served. WOW! did not expect this place to be this good. Service was decent. Selection was great, lots of beers I had not even heard of and they even had a bourbon imperial stout by Central Waters. The burgers were pretty damn good but the fries were over salted. Overall a great place for an out of stater to stop by.

50 taps of Wisconsin beers, a lot of which you probably couldn’t find without going to the specific breweries/brew pubs. Nice ambiance, right on the capitol. Great cheese curs and food. Decent service and prices.

Only stopped by briefly when we realized it was Karaoke night. Cute place, lots of taps. Belgian Red in bottles, so big plus there. Quite crowded for a Thursday night in the summer, pre-college returners. Worth a trip.

Everything is from Wisconsin, which is a nice touch (though I’ll freely admit Michigan beers are better). I’m not sure exactly how many taps or bottles they had, but it was quite a few, and it was a good variety from many different breweries and brewpubs across the state. I didn’t eat here, but the menu looked interesting.

Good beer selection. Hard to judge service because I went in the night of the GTMW. Food was really good as well.
