Bright, clean new brewpub. Split level design with the taproom downstairs and more of a restaurant feel upstairs. Service is friendly--although they do get distracted somewhat easily. Beer selection is quite good--consisting of their house beers (which tend to tilt towards the hoppy side of things) and a few guest drafts. Some days the selection can be a bit skewed and not have all of the bases covered. Food has been decent in my experience (I dig the fries). Prices are reasonable and you can get half-pint pours. Overall, I look forward to stopping in here when I pass through Westchester County.

I stopped by the Peekskill Brewery while in the area for work. I really stopped in to try what Chief has brewing in his kettles.
A: Decent place to drink, the building in the shape of a L and has the dining on one side and the bar on the other side of the shape. The bar area holds about 15 -18 patrons at the bar and has another 10-12 tables surrounding.
Q: I had three on site beers and they were all really good, very well carbonated, and well balanced. I only wish I had time to stay and drink more.
S: The bartenders were decent and were well informed....even to the point where they tapped a new beer and all tried it and described the taste to each other.
S: They had 7 in house taps, 9 guest taps and had a bunch of good bottles in their coolers. The selection between the beers was a wide array and of good variety and taste.
F: I ordered the PB Burger with Parm/Lemon Fries...the burger was decent, the fries were over cooked. The food was average but very over priced for the quality and quantity. Do not recommend eating here.
V: The beers were all roughly $6/pint which is somewhat high to mose places. Although the beers were good, they were pricey compared to most brewpubs along the eastern new york area. And I wont even get into the food (see F:)
Overall, a decent place, great beer, mediocre food which was over priced. Go to Drink, not to eat.

This is located in scenic Peekskill near the river. The main level is bar seating with another bar and full restaurant seating upstairs. We opted for upstairs as the bar was quite full on this Saturday night. No less than two well-trained servers kept our table clean, our glasses full, and made us feel like welcome guests. Our food choices were difficult to make from their small, yet varied menu, and our selections did not disappoint. This is worthy of an out-of-state drive for the food, beer, and atmosphere. After dinner, we retreated to the bar below and conversed with a few locals while enjoying more fine beverages.

This was my favorite spot on a two day brewery trip of Joisey an New Yawk. Large place on two levels, bar is downstairs, restauarant and another bar upstairs, with an opening you can look down into the main bar. Every one of the beers was solid and interesting, a few were outstanding. The food was terrific, and the service was quick, friendly effificient. Very friendly locals and regulars. A minor complaint is that it gota bit noisy, but the vibe was really good. Worth going well out of your way to visit.

Visited here recently after discovering their beer at a Hudson Valley beer night at Mission Delores in Brooklyn. This place is in a new building as of about 9 mos ago after spending about 5+ yrs in a very small old restaurant space in the same town. The new building is very modern, clean and classy if a bit antiseptic (i.e. missing a little character). Nonetheless, the beers are great. Usually more is not better as many breweries make too many beers and all or some suffer as a result. PB had 14 of their own beers on tap during my recent visit and I really enjoyed no less than 9 of them! That is really quite an achievement. Several of them were exceptionally good with my favorite being the Higher Standard IPA. The food here is great too and complments their beers. A trip to Peekskill is a really nice two location trip if you include a visit to The Birdsall House while in town too.

We really enjoyed our visit here. Only had a couple of apps, but the food was excellent, and the menu was very interesting. Nice location right by the Hudson. The beer selection was really A+. I’ve enjoyed Peekskill beers in the past, but they had so many I’d not tried previously, and they most leaned toward the excellent side. Our bartender was very nice as well. I really had no complaints.

The town of Peekskill clusters round a picturesque bay on the Hudson River and right at the heart is the Peekskill Brewery. It has two parts, with entrances in two streets at right angles to each other. The main bar is quite small and narrow, with high top tables. It has malt sacks in frames on the wall and the 16 draught beers are listed on a blackboard surrounded by colourful drawings. It had a nice local feel to it and seemed to be doing a good trade.

Visited May, 2012.
Located near the lake and a large park this little town has some charm to it. Of course upstate NY is very scenic already so that helps. The brewery is in a strange building that seems like it is really two buildings connected with a walk way. I ordered a Cuban sandwich and a flight of beers. While the sandwich was OK the beer was really good. Where did these guys come from? The Berliner was nice and the DIPA was awesome. The server wasn’t real familiar with the beer but was very friendly. If this place was local to me I would spend a lot of time here. I also walked around the park and checked out some of the war memorials that were in the middle of the park. Really neat place.

Great brewpub near the Hudson River in the small town of Peekskill. There is a downstairs "taproom" and an upstairs bar and pub. There is not much difference between the 2 although there are more tables upstairs. Both serve food though and the atmosphere is a little quieter upstairs. Plenty of taps, around 10 house beers, and they have a few guest taps as well. They had a few IPAs which seem to be regulars, an awesome Irish breakfast stout, a stellar imperial stout, a sour, saison, rye stout, and others. They offer half and full pints. Pricing is slightly less than NYC fares, but on the steeper side overall ($4-5 for a half pint). The food is really good- I was blown away by my Ploughman’s platter. They focus on homemade, quality food and mostly offer sandwiches (at lunch anyway), with some other things. Again, prices are on the higher side (worth it to me). The service was a little slow at first, but once they realized we were into the beer, gave us a few free samples. Overall, I had a great time and would love to come back when I’m in the area. Tasty beers and excellent food, a winner.

Laid back small town vibe with some pretty awesome house beers. 15 ish house beers available at $2 per sample, $3-4 for a half pour, and $6-7 for a full glass. Friendly service from folks that seem like they actually want to be there. Also, they have this space age counter pressure growler filling machine that lets them bang out growler fills super fast. Welcome to the future.
