God, I love this place. Always a great selection and constantly changing. A celebration of American craft brew, and the hardest working bartenders in New York.

Finally managed to make it here and Iím glad I did. They donít open until 3 most days which was what had kept me away for so long. Not living in NYC I often take a train down for beer events that start at somewhere between 3-5 and if I get down to the city a few hours early I like to find somewhere else to go grab a pint or two ahead of time. Managed to come down for something that started a bit later, but still came down early enough to come over to the Pony. I love the simplicity of their beer lists. Everything is $5 and comes in one of two sizes depending on the ABV/rarity of the keg. A welcome change from some of the other beer destinations not too far away who are up to charging $1/oz for a lot of things (granted they may be a bit rarer and harder to come by than most of the list at Pony, but when youíre looking for a place to spend an afternoon drinking a few pints and donít care about necessarily getting the absolute rarest things, this is a good thing). With a list of 20 beers on tap and 2 casks, I still found 5 things that were new for me so I was happy about that. No flights but as others have said theyíll happily pour you a taste of something. Had a bite to eat here as well. A.L.T. - Avocado, lettuce, tomato. Delicious. Could have eaten a couple more of these and not because the sandwich wasnít filling enough (it was), but it was just that tasty. Horseradish pickles as well. Iím already trying to figure out when I can sneak back here.

Nice place with webupdated tap menu. Staff is fast and knowledgeable. Unfortunately they dont do flights, but they do free samples of 5 cl, so if you do like I did and order a beer and 2 freebies, it pretty much works out like flights. All beers are same price at $5 and will come in either 8fl.oz glasses or 14 fl.oz. glasses. Didnt try their food.

Modern bar with lots of interesting beers on tap. The service was pleasant and even though we arrived just after opening, they were ready to serve us the best way. Slightly atypical bar which is certainly worth a visit.

Pleasently surprised when I stopped in. A well kept long bar in a skinny place. Nice with windows open in the summer. While not huge, selection is nice with a good number of locals on tap. Staff was quite friendly and knowledgeable.

Nice cozy little beer bar. Crowd is pretty much the 21-30 types. I dig the digital beer board that stays current, and they post on beermenus. I stopped in on a Sunday when the drafts were $5. Very crowded and service was a little spotty. Not sure how three bartenders can miss someone in such small confines. Selection is draft only, and very nice. Diverse with some regionals. I do have a few beefs though. They require a $20 minimum to use a credit card. For starters, that is a illegal and a violation of the merchant agreement. Just build the stupid transaction fee into your beer prices. Two, when I closed out, I was under the $20, but they charged my card. Why,? So I could be forced to give them a $5 tip for mediocre service (when I was going to do a buck per beer). I could have raised a stink, but I didnít. But itís not an honest business practice. I should know,, I accept credit cards with my business. But I am learning cash is King in NYC

Solid beer bar in midtown / hells kitchen. 20+ taps with two cask. Didn't see a bottle list but not sure you need one. Good variety on tap with rotating options. Food was affordable and overall pretty good. Not too big so gets packed during peak times. Couple TVs playing football on Sunday.

$5.00 beers, albeit small sizes, but just enough. Good time, good food, great beer, and reasonable price.

Not a destination place like Rattle or Blind Tiger, but Pony Bar is an awesome neighborhood pub perfect for hanging out with friends. The beers are always good, 20 taps and 2 casks. Always some local stuff from Chelsea or the Long Island breweries on. After about 3500 ratings I can usually find maybe 3 or 4 beers Iíve never had before. Price wise, you literally cannot find a cheaper pint of craft beer in NYC. $5 for a pint, $5 for 8 oz. of high gravity beers. Luckily for me I have a buddy that lives in the neighborhood so I have an excuse to stop by at least once a month. Love love love this place.
