Stopped in here while visiting NYC. Great selection and the prices are pretty reasonable. The bar tenders were attentive and friendly. We didn’t eat, but saw lots of people grazing. If I lived in NYC, this would be a regular spot I hit up.

Large bar with 24 beers on tap, wooden tables and barrels, interesting albeit sparse food menu, sports bar atmosphere with large screen monitors on the corners. It was quite empty at 7 pm on a Monday night, mostly younger crowd. The selection is from exclusively American and largely local or nearby breweries. Liked the place.

Best place in beer desert in Upper East Side. Quality bar food and taps with lots of locals like Empire, Barrier and Singlecut. Decor is a bit tacky but who cares. No bottles.

After a quick and surprisingly cheap cab ride across town Pony Bar was as it turns out the last stop of the night. I already changed it to closed but know that the David Copperfield’s is gone, literally. The building has been demolished and all that remains is a hole in the ground. Pony Bay on the other hand has an interesting setup where they charge a flat rate for everything. They just change the size of the pour to match the price. There aren’t really that many different sizes available but there are a few. Pretty much if it’s not in a “pint” glass it’s in a tulip glass. Everything is $6. Neat idea. When I was at the other location a couple years ago it was $5 but that may have been during happy hour so I’m not sure if the price has actually gone up. The selection is pretty good providing an interesting mix of locals and nationally distributed taps. The bartender was in the process of throwing one group out for indulging in a few too many Green Flash imperial IPA glasses. Hey, we’ve all been there before. As usual I ordered a glass of something that I hoped would be decent and got some tasters of the other stuff I wanted to try. Admittedly didn’t spend a whole lot of time here as it was getting late and it was a work night but this could be a fun stop if I had some other business in this part of town.

great for american and local craft breweries. good range of styles on offer, though usually dominated by hoppy beers.

Finally made it in here as I don’t find myself on ues much despite living close but it was nice out so walked up. Some decent brews on tap and nice space. Servers friendly and helpful. Some sort of happy hour so very reasonable prices.

Pretty nice selection with helpful staff. Friendly patrons and a good vibe; very laid back. It’s a nice place to have on the UES, there’s really not much else like it there. Worth a visit.

Twice the size of the West Side location so it gets less crowded but otherwise a clone. Beer is too expensive now that it’s at $6 per pour, at least for the 8oz stuff, which is what you’re going to want to drink.

Much like the HK location with a bit more space. Dark lit, woody, vague Americana feel to it. Attentive bartenders. They get some nice tasty treats from time to time (BA Ten Fidy, hill farmstead, etc). Probably one of the stronger craft beer places in the UES.
