Their beers are not as good as I expected. Good international selection but too small. Too turistic.

A very nice Pub a bit outside of Tempel bar. Good live music and very cosy atmosphere. The beer selection is fabolous, food is also great.

The first to do the craft thing in Dublin and still one of only three brewpubs in the capital that I can think of. Their self brewed line up of beers was a revolution in the mid to early 2000s, less so now with many fairly pedestrian brews catering to the large Temple Bar tourist crowd, occasionally punctuated by something really special (big ABV barley wines, black IPAs and the like) showing they can do it with ease when they fancy it. Can be really packed with tourists and outside the couple of events they run the import and rotation selection isnt as good as other spots in town. Hard to knock The Porterhouse though, long may they last.

Wide choice of tap and a lot of bottles. Nice design, live music. The Best pub in Ireland for beer lovers, imho.

Crowded, loud music. A dozen own brews on tap, also half a dozen guest taps. 8010050 beers on bottle, with quite a neat selection. Own production is decent and can be recommended.

Very crowdy, very noizy, ugly music playing live. Ok selection on tap and cask - most are the usual Porterhouse line-up, but some foreign craft beer as well. The bottle selection is 50 percent decent imports, 50 pct mainstream - which very much sums up the feel of the place.

Tough one to rate, do you go on past glories or recent let-downs? I went in between. I’ve had some great times here, mostly because of the company I was with, but it IS a beautiful place that’s easy to have a good session. The quality of beers has gotten so-so at best, and the service has gotten pretty terrible too, which used to be very very good. Overall its still a great place to meet and have a few, but theres too much competition that has grown up around the Porter and it hasn’t kept up, simple enough.

Right in the heart of Dublin,The porterhouse is a great pub with local brews and some nice bottle list.I cant say i enjoyed their beers though the awards on the wall were telling me different. Its one of the places you have to visit in search of local ales when you visit Dublin.

Great place, with amazing interior decoration. Service is rather fast and the beers selection is impressive, especially on tap. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Dublin ! And it’s really well located, in the center of the city.
