Popped in here for dinner on a Saturday night. Dinner was extremely good. The food here does not disappoint. Interesting dishes and excellent waitstaff. Lots of bottles with 10 or so draft selections. Iíll be back for sure.

Really great food goes along with a pretty darn nice draft list here. We really enjoyed our visit. Reservations are recommended. Prices arenít great, but I didnít think they were terrible either. Pretty much what I expected.

After waiting about 45 minutes in the lobby, I realized they had forgotten about me. Once I got seated at the bar, the service was tremendous. The bartender not only was helpful but gave me lots of tasters including a couple beers that werenít even on the tap list. The food was excellent and the building itself was beautiful. Large, solid wood chairs, hard wood tables, excellent aesthetic.

Hung out here with my boy Chino last night. The place was packed and it was Wednesday night. John Cusack was sitting 20 feet away from us, so that was cool. My buddy taking his picture with his flash on was lame, but we got a good laugh. Beer list was solid, but expensive. GI Gillian bottle for $65, really? Food was amazing.

Initially brought me the wrong beer and waiter disappeared. However, rest of waitstaff seemed to be working hard and had a cicerone there when I was there even though I didnít speak to her. Food was excellent and creative, although expensive. Seating was more cramped and crowded feeling than it looks in photos. High quality beer list but not much I hadnít had before. Some of the best beers of Europe, but again, if your a serious beer geek you probably wonít find anything new. They do offer their own lambic blend which I found interesting, although I did not try it (too pricey and not a huge lambic fan).

Really interesting place. Good waitstaff, though not fantastic. Excellent house blended lambic. Lots of bottles. All a little pricey, but overall, fantastic place.

The food at Publican is incredible. You must get the pork rinds. It is an upscale restaurant, so donít come here if you want to sit at a bar and drink cheap drafts (which is fine! this just isnít the place). What I appreciate the most, besides a really thoughtful beer list, is the training of the servers. I offhandedly pointed out to the server that Jolly Pumpkin was listed as being from somewhere out east, but itís from Michigan. She became wide eyed and said "oh my god, youíre so right! give me that menu!" and she ran it over to her manager. This place isnít known as a destination for beer, but they are an upscale restaurant that respects the hell out of beer. You can please your significant other if they donít like beer, and have a great time yourself. Also, this is the only upscale restaurant Iíve seen where a guy ordered a boot of beer, stood up, and the ENTIRE restaurant chanted him to completion. Iíve been here a few times, and that isnít a regular thing, but it didnít feel that out of place either.

Charcuterie place with a very cool vibe. Awesome paintings of giant characterful pigs, booth seating that amounts to a miniature fenced-in stable or paddock for your party, while the central floor boasts common tables of enormous length to share with fellow diners. The food was, without exeption, excellent. Probably the best pork belly weíve had (certainly the most generous portion!). Beef heart was also a standout. Our server knew his stuff and was spot-on. Beers were top quality, with a few Three Flloyds to choose from (including Zombie Dust , Snow Weasel, and Alpha Klaus). Just a great great evening! Would return in a heartbeat.

Trendy restaurant in some sort of meat packing district or something. Disregard the neighborhood and try it anyway. You wonít find an enormous beer list but you will find a well selected mixture of taps and bottles and tremendous food. Good selection of oysters and an interesting ham tasting. You really canít go wrong with anything on the menu. Not at all what I would call a value but I appreciate a quality tap list to complement my gluttony.

friday-night visit with reservations, it actually wasnít full but still busy and quite loud. itís definitely a food-first destination, with about a dozen taps that range from common to those rarely seen elsewhere, and the list appears to be selected with food in mind. food quality was certainly good but not what I would call great (for Chicago).
