Ambiance: Wide open space with lts of tables but very small bar, that held maybe 6 patrons at most Service: Decent although slightly lax on a slow night especially Selection: HF, Alchemist here too, same beers are others with one exception that caught me off guard, Bruery Humulus Lager....a solid find. Value: Pints were a little high here too, bottle even higher than expected or probably should have been

The Res doesn’t seem to be as popular as Prohibition Pig or Black Back with the locals, but it is still quite good. The food is tasty, but not as good as the Pig, but the menu is more diverse which is a plus. The taplist is usually bigger as well with a large sample of many Vermont breweries (including some that should be excluded in my opinion). I like this place a lot.

When I visited: Late May 2013. What I had: Shed Mountain Ale, Hill Farmstead Edward, Green Flash Hop Odyssey Black IPA, and Lawson’s Finest Spring Fever Session IPA on tap, Alchemist Heady Topper out of the can, Vermont Meatloaf Dinner, Pulled Pork Tacos and several Chimney Creek Sauvignon Blancs for the lady. What I liked: Outstanding draught list, beautiful dark wood bar, extremely friendly service (bartender even bought us a round), tasty fare, beer-infused food menu, welcoming patrons. An absolute first class beer bar and restaurant. What I disliked: On our second visit the place was so busy that we weren’t able to get seats, and the service suffered due to the craziness, but we still enjoyed our drinks. Would I go back? Definitely. Overall Rating: 88

So many good beer bars in such a small town. This place is probably the least interesting of the three, but they are still great in overall standards. Like the others they were tapped out of HF, Heady Topper and Lawson’s. They didn’t really have anything interesting on tap. They concentrate on small Vermont brewers, and offer Vermont tasting flights with rules that you basically can’t pick anything good (ie no HF). It’s a good way to sample some of the lesser known Vermont offerings. Ambiance is just ok. Service is decent.

The draft beer selection is very good and has many locals and regionals The food is standard pub fare that is well prepared and promptly delivered.

Nice digs, lots of taps, a bit "salty" as far as local clientele goes, decent bottle list. the beer is always changing. I’ve enjoyed myself here but there are lot of locals pretty drunk playing billiards

We didn’t eat there so we arrived at the time the bar with the band took the place of the restaurant. Noisy and tavern style with pool table. Beer selection wasn’t that great but the price are good. Will come back to try the food.

The third best place in waterbury yet still great. Food is very good. Great burgers. Lawsons and hill on tap, alchemist in cans, about 40 or so taps focusing on vmont and the rest of the us. Great fallback optionmif the blackback and pro pig are full
