HOLY CRAP. This place is fantastic. Always expect a wait because everyone knows how fantastic it is. We went on a Monday evening and only had to wait about 20-30 min. Food is out of this world good - but donít expect any lo-cal options. But everything was super yummy. All the taps were local, and things that I didnít have even when visiting the same breweries within a few days. Bottle list is smallish - 100 or so - but is all quality, including some limited edition local things. Service was great. The place is a bit small, but well worth a visit for a great meal and some very good beer.

They have some good beer here. But really you should go for the food and the cozy atmosphere.

The Shaved Duck is a small, cozy modern barbecue restaurant in Tower Grove East. There are four taps, and a few dozen bottles. The selection focuses primarily on the local and regional stuff, like Schlafly, Boulevard, Crown Valley, Six Row, and so forth, with some other American craft options. The food is excellent, a modern spin on barbecue. The service is good, but the place is always crowded, so expect to wait a while. The bar area and seating area are both cozy and low-lit. Just a really cool place, and a great place to get a great meal while drinking good local craft beer.
