Popped in here for a quick drink with a friend when I was in the neighborhood. Sort of a dark hidey-hole type of vibe with a short bar fronting a cozy divey looking place. A very well-curated tap list and some nice happy hour specials as well. We didn’t eat when we were here but quite enjoyed the pop in. Bartender was efficient - there aren’t a ton of options in this neighborhood but this is a great one.

I have been here twice when visiting the city and enjoyed both visits. I appreciate the focus on American and local beers on tap and that the website is updated to you can check the selection before you go. Seems to be very popular with the after work crowd so even during the week it has not been easy to find a table. Very good freindly service at the bar. A good bar menu but not a foodie destination. The sliders were very tasty. Definately worth a visit if you are in mid-town.

Traditional British looking bar, with two quite cozy, smallish floors in wooden décor, as well as a nice patio upstairs. The place cannot compete in the big league when it comes to sheer amount, but the selection seems carefully selected and with a focus on local craft breweries. Also serves good food. Service is good, and the staff is knowledgeable and helpful.

Visited late afternoon on a Thursday. Cool split level room, with a bar 1/2 floor down, and another room upstairs. The lower bar had 14 or so beers on tap, with a decent variety of locals and other solid craft options. Good friendly service. I had a beer, and the sliders. Both were solid, and I enjoyed my visit. There is nothing special about this place (craft beer wise), though I enjoyed spending time here.

Always has something a little different and interesting. Had both Goose Island BCS and Elysian Omen here the other day. It can get hammered on a Thurs/Fri/Sat night. I live very close so I try and go at off peak hours and the bartenders are really nice and helpful.

Visited around mid day on the last Thursday of Feb ’12.
The place never got too busy but there were a few folks in for lunch.
Service was attentive and friendly.
Beer selection was solid enough with a few out of state/non east coast offerings available.
I liked this place and would head back if in the area, although not a destination pub in its own right.

Small but interesting seasonal tap selection. The bartender was knowledgable. Had a nice little corner behind the bar. Decent acoustic music on a weeknight. Expensive, but not too out of line for Midtown.

Well lit and open feeling for what is not the largest space. Here during the after lunch time on a Tuesday, small crowd. A number of tvs, which when I came were showing the Little League World Series, Sportscenter, and CNN. Nice mix for the lunchtime crowd. Looked like 16 drafts (one was empty, I’d guess in preparation for their Southern Tier event the following night) on while I was here, ranging from the entry level stuff like Abita Turbodog and Lefthand Sawtooth to more interesting offerings like Southern Tier Pumking and Creme Brulee. There were a few harder to come by things, one-offs, generally from local brewers like Barrier, Chelsea, and Kelso. Overall a nice selection and mix of styles including a rauch, a few different stouts, some Belgian styles, and some lighter more accessible fare. Some of these are part of the lunch special (half a pint and a meal for $10). Happy hour seems to run a long time (11A-7P) and features specials on some of those more easily found beers. Credit card minimum is $20 which is good to know if you’re just swinging in for a single pint or so. Service was quick and friendly.

Standard wooden bar layout with loads of plasma screen TVs showing sport. I visited during the afternoon, but could imagine that this attracts a pretty ’bro’ clientele. My bartender was friendly enough. The selection was pretty good, with something like 15 beers available on tap. The list was well curated, and had beers to suit a range of tastes. Prices were fine. Overall, this is a nice place to sit out a rain storm, or visit if you’re in the area. As far as NYC goes, it doesn’t seem like a place to travel to get to. Still, nice.
