Opened at the start of May in place of the old Illicit Still in Tollcross – the second city bar of Murray McKean and Cameron Hill (also owners of the Tourmalet in Leith). Cycle-themed bar, with a large fish tank. Beers are basic macro on draught, one cask (usually Deuchars) – but a decent range of bottled German beers. More arriving with every week. On first glance, might not compete with the Brauhaus round the corner, but it’s a nicer space to be in. Needs decent draught beer to be fully comparable though.
