First pub of a mini crawl around Ayr on 13th Aug 2015. Nice church to pub conversion by Wetherspoons, tastefully done with many original features preserved. Lots of un-used space upstairs, or so it looked from below. Must be expensive to heat in the winter with itís high ceiling. Usual keg and bottle selection from the Wetherspoons chain with the hand-pulls being all English beers on my visit, a let down for me as I wanted to try some Scottish stuff. Only one new beer for me out of the choices available. Didnít eat but the food looked good as it was carried past my table. Under staffed as per normal for Wetherspoons, but the prices stop you from complaining too much!

An old big church that they have converted into a giant pub. Nice! A good range of beer on handpull and a good selection of bottles as well. Ok food.

Largest selection of cask ales in Ayr, updated from 6 handpumps to 9 in November 2011. Rather strange selection of guest ales, mainly from obsure breweries in the south and south west of England, but one tap normally has a beer from the local Ayr Brewing Company.

Wetherspoonís converted church in heart of the town. 6 handpumps serving local and national ales. Interesting surroundings, can be a bit grotty when busy.
