Visited on 24 October 2014 during the Wetherspoons Autumn 2014 beer festival. . Didn’t realise this was a Lloyds No1 as it had more of a "traditional" Spoons feel. The former bank feel that is. Doing a brisk trade on a Friday afternoon but service was speedy. I noted two banks of handpumps - one with the "srandard" beers on the other with fourfestival beers. Which was a bit annoying as the three thirds option covered three of them but I had to buy a half of the fourth. Worth a look in if yu’re passing but not a destination.

Lloyds Bar part of the Wetherspoon chain, but it doesn’t look or feel too different from most of the bars by the aforementioned pub group. The front area is fairly impersonal, but towards the rear is a lovely open fire that naturally gets busy first when the weather outside demands it. It can be a busy place at peak times and certainly when there is a rugby game playing at one of the two grounds close by. The bar is fairly long and there’s a decent ale choice.

Weatherspoons - what it lack in charm, it makes up for in beer selection and value.
Great selection of cask beers inc some hop forward craft favourites inc Kipling and Darkstar revelation (excellent IPA)
Less than three quid a pint too. To be honest with those beers I can forgive all other faults in the place!!!

Decent Spoons with a well kept and fairly varied range of real ales. Have visited many times in the last 2/3 years, most recently - 15/09/12.
As well as the usual JDW house cask choices beers from Westerham, Dark Star, Andwell, Arundel, Sambrooks were also available.
I’m usually in here after a Quinns home game so it is busy, but they do up the staffing levels and I’ve never had to wait too long.
Definately one of the better Spoons!

This is a well-run ’Spoons, the ales are generally very well kept and often include 1 or 2 from the local Twickenham Brewery. There are TVs but thankfully with the sound usually off! It is relatively cosy, and the usual JDW food menu is well done, Service is normally friendly and prompt, but can suffer (a LOT) at busy times.
