Located inside the Capitol Market. Only a couple of WV brews available but thatís more a comment on the state and not the store. 10% discount on a mixed six pack. Selection is enough to build a respectable sixer of new ticks. Very friendly staff. Probably the best place for bottles in Charleston too.

Stopped off the highway in the middle of the road trip looking for some West Virginia-native beers. Disappointingly, I think I only found 1 ... and only a couple other things that arenít widely available. But they do stock singles, so worth a stop if youíre looking for a single example of something.

Located in the Capital Market which consists of 6 or 7 little market style stores. Not a big selection, but it is pretty all singles for the most part. Nice selection for this area. Probably the place to go around here.

Plenty of parking on either end of the building. Atmosphere is a repurposed railroad transfer dock. This place also has wine and cheese. Good selection of singles which is distributed in WV, if you are looking for whales check the ocean. If you want a case of refrigerated budweiser go somewhere else. Not the cheapest in town, so make sure you get six singles to get the 10% discount. They donít really have many if any six-packs though.

Bottle shop that carries wine and cheese (and beer) in the Capital Market in downtown Charleston. Great bottle selection...probably the best in Charleston (which reaaally isnít saying that much). Prices are competitive and they have pretty much anything that you could find anywhere else in Charleston. The employees generally know what theyíre talking about too. If youíre looking to buy beer or wine, you could do much worse than go there. Especially if youíre stuck in Charleston.

Being a new resident of the Charleston area, Iíve visited this business several times over the past several months. It is located within a renovated former warehouse space that serves as the cityís market, sharing the environs with several other small meat, produce, and artisanal/local product businesses. The main focus of the business is wine, with an additional focus on high-end cheese. However, they still manage to have a very respectable (especially for West Virginia) selection at prices that are generally excellent. In the times Iíve been there, there have been some new seasonals and special beers, in addition to those always present. The staff is earthy and friendly, eager to help you make selection. A 10% discount is offered on the total price of six-packs. Overall, itís not the greatest beer store in the history of the world, but it is a welcome oasis in an area that otherwise suffers from a dearth of beer sources.
