Great place. Itís been some time since I visited, but it was a pleasant one, when I did. This place has a vast selection of beers, almost to the point where I was overwhelmed, which is good. The prices were average, the service helpful, but not intrusive. I remember being able to find Surly Blakkr here, when it was just released. At the time of my visit, the store was one side beer, and one side wine; hence the name. I donít typically care about ambiance, but it seemed very austere when I visited. Overall, they had a great selection, fair prices, and the beers I was looking for, so whatís to complain about?
Oh man what a great place. The guys that work here will talk to you about beer for hours if you let them. They always get the special stuff but donít always have the best selection for the normal. The bomber selection is weak. Still like the place a lot.

Good selection for the state including mixed 6 pak section. Vg service. A bit out of the way.
Pretty sweet place, I know the staff decently well, as Iím good friends with both the their former beer guys Mark. Great selection with lots of singles. One of the best bottle shops in the Twins Cities.

Very cool old building. I walked into the beer side and a beer guy approached me and we talked beer for a long time. Great selection separated by styles. Like the four firkins but without the attitude. I will be back to this place again.
A nice store with a great selection of singles and a nice feel. Two rooms, one dedicated to wine and another to beer and cider with a nice rustic feel. Service was good with very knowledgeable employees. Great selection which is showcased by there large mix six selection. Prices are inline with other top area stores. A great store overall.
Definitely wins for ambience, but thatís not really why you go to beer store. Others are trashier but might have more beer. I liked the layout and it definitely has a solid selection of American craft beer, my impression, though was that it was weaker on Belgians.
These guys opened their cellar to us which was really cool. Naturally everyone grabbed the Cantillon gueuze bottles but they also had some other neat stuff like some vintage Black Ops, four years of Bourbon County, and some three or four year old Alaskan Barleywine. There was a lot of other stuff but I wasnt really looking to buy a ton of beer since Iíd have to ship it home. Upstairs in the regular store are two rooms, one for beer and one for wine. The beer side has an interesting selection. The usual locals, the usual imports, and the usual nation wide brands but mixed in there were plenty of obscure brands that I hadnít seen on shelves before. Pretty much everything is available in singles too. Cool place, would return.
