90 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 15/20 luthertorrez (12) Aurora, Colorado | January 19, 2013 They’re very knowledgeable about beer (and wine, though I’m not too into wine). The customers are all very welcoming. It’s a nice departure for the typical pub scene. I love the rotating taps, because I know that I can expect something new and different every time I go and can expect all their drafts to be of a good quality. It’s probably the safest place to try something different, so for that reason I highly recommend checking it out. | 78 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 msante79 (335) Mount Prospect, Illinois | July 27, 2012 Small little shop with 4 taps and a ton of singles. Picked up a bunch of new WI rates. Not as big of New Glarus selection I was hoping for. Stopping hear and Discount Liquor would cover everything you would want from Milwaukee. Service was fine while I was there, but I stopped in a 8:50 the night before after driving 20 minutes only to find out they were closed when are supposed to be open till 9. Slow night I guess. | 62 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 3/10 OVERALL 11/20 coharahawk (57) Milwaukee, Wisconsin | July 27, 2012 Took forever to drive there. The place is pretty neat inside, more of a bottle shop, but with a small drinking area. Quite a few wines and beers to choose from. Nothing rare at all. Some stuff that has been sitting on the shelf for way too long (sorry an 8 month old Hop Whore is not ideal). There are about 4 tap lines if I remember correctly. Prices are high for Milwaukee. They have an awesome patio though. They will quickly chill any bottle for you and serve it after paying a "corking" fee. I enjoyed my time there, but the location and prices will make this an infrequent stop for me. | 88 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 17/20 jcnielsen (138) Kansas City, Missouri | July 23, 2012 I was in town for a couple days when I visited Three Cellars and was hoping to pick up some local beers. This was definitely the right place to go. Impressive single bottles selection. Lots of Wisconsin beers and a bunch of other midwest beers in the singles section. I wish I had been in town longer so I could have made a bigger dent in trying local beers. The one downside I would note is that the prices seemed pretty high for singles, but I was more the willing to pay for the ability to try some many different local beers. | 80 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 16/20 AWISLguy (70) Wisconsin | May 18, 2012 A bit hard to find at the end of a stripmall. Terrific looking/feeling place, with wooden racks of wine & beer all around. Not as large as it seemed when first entering. Nice selection of heavy local plus a respectable range of national craft stuff, including some stuff I have not otherwise seen in the area. Not a large brew area, although very singles-centric. Interesting having 4 taps with 3 separate seating areas to enjoy one - including out on the covered patio. Tender mentioned they can also "chill" any of the bottles in 4 minutes if the taps are not of interest to have on the spot. A bit pricier than the local area, but between the interesting selection and the potential to have one there, I will likely return. | 62 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 12/20 savnac (224) Anchorage, Alaska | December 6, 2011 Stopped by here on an early afternoon. Nice, new, clean store that is well organized. Service was alright, the shop owner tried hard but came off a bit pompous. He also went on some rant about CBS that left me un-impressed. Selection is alright, an area of local stuff plus other micros and a few beers on tap. Prices seemed very high on most stuff. Not a place I’d go out of my way for, although they seem to be the only place around that lets you break up 6 packs and buy singles. | 82 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 19/20 JoePeesie (68) Long Lake, Illinois | August 29, 2011 3 Cellars is a great little shop. The owner and staff treat you as if you were childhood friends from the moment you enter the store. Their recently completed tasting patio is amazing and a great place to sit and sip. They get a great selection of Rarer hard to get brews. I signed up for the email list and never think twice about making the 1.5 hour drive if there is a bottle I want. The owner is more than willing to hold a bottle for 24 hours for you if you call and request.
Note: I was torn on my average selection rating. While they get beers that are rare and are hard to find, they are a small shop. I held my rating at a 7 because if I lived closer this would not be my "everyday beer" bottle shop. I would however stop in at least twice a month if not more. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 CheersMate (146) Fremont (Seattle), Washington | August 7, 2010 This place is decent. The prices aren’t ridiculous, and they offer single bottles. The service is great. I found Discount Liquors to have a much better selection, albeit, they don’t offer singles there. Being from Georgia, I found a lot here that I was interested in, but there was a lot that I could do without. I think they cater to the beer geek here, as opposed to Discount, where they seem like they don’t give a fuck. Decent place, but I don’t think I’ll be going back after the first visit. | 70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 3/10 OVERALL 12/20 troyc (147) Oklahoma | July 14, 2010 Well I was looking for one good bottle shop to stop at while in Wisconsin, so I decided to stop here. A nice place, good ambiance and helpful employees. I was impressed by the bar-like feel to it, but honestly I was a little disappointed by the selection. They had an entire wall of singles with some pretty good stuff, but they only had 4 varieties of New Glarus and a lot of the more common craft beers/imports rather than a huge WI area. Also, this place is way overpriced compared to many other liquor stores in Wisconsin. Still worth a visit though. | 90 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 18/20 sunnyridge (28) | April 4, 2010 Only gets lower marks because it can be overpriced, but you can also drink your selection on premise!!!! Great owner who really loves beer. |
