82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20 charule (27) Pennsylvania | May 14, 2013 Pretty cool place in the middle of an industrial park. Smells like a brewery from the street. Pub is rocking heavy metal music and has interesting knick knacks everywhere. Good selection on tap including guest taps. Food decent but not going to win a michelin star. Decent prices for everything including togo beer. | 90 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 20/20 wje89 (1) Chicago , Illinois | May 14, 2013 The food isnt really my style so I can not bash it but I know that its good for most. Tap list is always great and changing. Bottles to go have been weak as of recently in bottle limit and zombie dust is out of stock most times a person would go there.
Still one of the best breweries out there and one of my top 5. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 jandd1983 (122) Florissant, Missouri | May 2, 2013 Visited over DLD 2013. Didn’t make it into the brewpub, closed for DLD, but plan on returning to try the brewpub. We had a great time and hope to have many more down the road. | 90 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 musinj6 (26) St. Louis, Missouri | May 1, 2013 Beer Mecca! That is all there is to say! They have great food and great people working there. I had a fantastic time at Dark Lord Day 2013. Their beer speaks for itself. I cannot say enough great things about this place. GO VISIT!!! | 86 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD 5/10 VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 20/20 RoosterC (1) Illinois | May 1, 2013 One of my favs! | 62 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 3/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 4/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 12/20 pablo951 (20) Chicago, Illinois | April 23, 2013 Excellent beers, great brewpub, good food, crappy service, and in a bad location.
The beers at Floyd’s makes it all worth the trip. The service is somewhere between "to cool for school" and just plain rude. The food is basic burgers and sandwiches (fries come separately). It’s all about the beer! | 76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 15/20 GuillaumeCL (6) Toronto, Ontario | April 3, 2013 Good music playing, projected old movies, my kind of place. Seating is quite limited no matter when you go. Selection is really great, but it’s only FFF beer. Food is surprisingly tasty, nothing fancy but well executed and tasty. Bar staff was knowledgeable and attentive. If you’re in the area, say staying at the hotel just a block over, don’t hesitate to go. | 66 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 1/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 15/20 DocJitsu (21) California | March 31, 2013 If it was only a brewery, this place would be in the perfect spot--in the back of an industrial park. However, because there is a fun, eccentric, colorful, magical, and intriguing brewpub that hosts one of the largest (maybe the largest--I truly don’t know) beerfests in America (Dark Lord Day) every April, one might think it’s in an odd place. But, I think the physical location adds to the overall je nais se qua. The food is just ok, but if I were to ask a thousand people why they go to FFF’s, none of them would say for the food. Some of the most magical beer on planet earth is born here. It’s fantastic to sit at the bar and drink snifters of some of their concoctions. Or take the brewery tour while you enjoy a gratis bottle of Gumball Head. I love seeing that odd diminutive gardener with the long gray braided pony tail walk through the pub in his flop hat and rubber boots. Who is that guy? Certainly not Dr. Floyd. The one responsible for so much joy. Oh yes, my friend. That is him. So what’s not to love about such a lovable place. The service! The servers, I’m sure, must not only pass, they must excel--I mean, Magna Cum Laude proportions in the manner that they finish "How To Treat The Customer Like He/She Is Expendable And Meaningless To Me" school. I truly despise the wait staff there. Not
just because they’re jerks. Look, if you run across a Copperhead in the woods, you might not like him, but hey, you were in the woods. If, on the other hand, you’re strolling along streets of gold and pass through the pearly gates to find that you were to slow in avoiding a striking, venomous viper, well, you might hate that snake quite a bit more. Snakes shouldn’t be in heaven. Nor should they be in FFF’s. Condescending, nasty, power-hungry devils that they are. My advice to would-be patrons: enjoy your wonderful FFF beer without interacting with the wait staff other than ordering and paying. In my educated opinion, any patron who speaks well of the FFF wait staff or seems to be their apologist is very, very likely a victim of a psychological phenomenon called cognitive dissonance. Research it if you’re not familiar and the light will come on. I assure you. | 88 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 19/20 joromiller (10) Holt, Michigan | March 1, 2013 Killer bar. I’ve visited FFF a dozen times, and I’ve never been disappointed. Beer selection is top shelf. Food is surprisingly strong for such a small place. (Lamb meatballs are decadent)!!
I’ve had so many FFF beers on tap that most only dream of enjoying.
A must-stop brewery for anyone within a 2 hour drive!! | 84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 Johnsense (54) , | February 22, 2013 Pub with a black/death metal vibe. I approve. Service at both the bar and bottle shop were good, with an extra point to the bearded guy at the shop for exemplary service. Tis is THE place to drink 3f. I heard food can be hit or miss but it was on when i was there. Zombie dust was gone when i was there but the selection was so good i didnt really care. Place is not cheap, but quality never is. Fresh dreadnaught? Hell yes! |
