Visited on a sunday afternoon. No wait to get in, got 2 seats right at the bar. Music seemed pretty quiet. Some Jaws movie, Jaws 18 maybe, was playing which then switched to Dead Snow...awesome. Beer was great, didnít try the food though. Service seemed just fine. Not sure what all the complaints are about it...they just donít put up with BS.

Service wasnít as bad as people say. Music was blaring - even for lunch on a Sunday when the place wasnít really full. Beer was amazing, though. So they could have put me in a tub full of crap and I still would have been glad to be there. Canít wait to go again.

Visited on Sunday afternoon 1:30 and there was a wait time to get in approximately 20 minutes. The place was packed but still the service was quite quick and the beer was so good. Great selection. The food was quite expensive and mediocre. A good selection of bottles to take home, Would visit any time again.

Only visit was during Dark Lord Day which is of course a bit of a gong show. However managed to get in after waiting for not too long in line, tried a couple great beers, had something to eat, and most impressively, considering what is probably their most insane day of the year, the service was reliable and friendly. Now just need to visit again for lunch, in the middle of the week.

What can I say - its 3F. Beer is great.
The atmosphere is kinda cool except the metal music is just too damn loud sometimes. I cant stand the arrival experience with the bouncer at the front door at Noon telling you to wait outside. Bartenders are typically rude and think they are better than everyone else. But the beer is outstanding and I will continue to buy their beer, I just wish they would take more care in the people they are hiring to represent their business

Great vibe here and store right next door. Service was a bit iffy. Food was fantastic and a couple pages of draft beer selections as well as some other locals served here.

In a nutshell, great beer with good food with way too much pretentiousness for my taste. Donít get me wrong this place is a beer mecca. Give it a try and develop your own opinion. If you are in the area...why wouldnít you at least stop in for a beer or too or to pick up a case or two?

Visited: 06/20/2013. Beer Trip 2013 stop #1.
Tucked away in an Industrial park area. But not too hard to find. Bar is pretty cool, but the metal apocalypse is definitely not my style. The bartenders struck us as stuck up. They acted as if we should be kissing their feet to try their beer. Not cool. The beer was tasty and the selection was off the hook. The bartenders balked at the idea of samples. The food was excellent if not a touch overpriced. Had the Zombie Dust, a very good ale. Side note they were actually bottling zombie dust that day, and was able snag a six pack for my cellar. Great place, Great beer. Could have done without the bar tenders attitudes and the trash metal. On to Kalamazoo and Bellís

8-10 house taps
Middle of nowhere IN, small parking lot, canít believe that they have Dark Lord Day in that parking lot. The loud metal playing was entertaining but I could see it being a turn off for some people. Not me though.
Good food, nice staff but inattentive, surprisingly good beer on tap compared to that mess that is Dark Lord (last couple years anyway). Would definitely go back.
Visited again 10/12/2010
This time there were more like 15-20 house taps. The service was much more attentive and more knowledgeable/accurate than the descriptions on the beer menu. Ended up ordering and splitting half a dozen half pints because they donít offer samples. Oh well. They also had a funny/crappy sci-fi movie being projected on the wall.
I really enjoyed some of the non bottled offerings but was bummed that I still havenít been able to try Arctic Panzerwolf. Oh well, some day. Food was good again.
