74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 Cunningham (247) Halden, Norway | November 5, 2012 Nice traditional pub whit a fine range of beer both on tap and bottles. Rather busy even on a thursday evening. | 70 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 jorge76 (55) , Italy | September 6, 2012 Visited once during their own beer fest .. Good selection but they were superbusy so I can’t really judge their service, but reading the others review I think I’ll get back here as soon as posdible | 72 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 4/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 rjkreid (9) , Scotland | September 3, 2012 Something of a Glasgow institution and somewhat less of a bastion of beer purists than it was in it’s glory days, with a recent refurb taking away a modicum of its former character. Still a friendly pub with decent service. Usually around 8 taps with Titanic and Dark Star the incumbents in this typically CAMRA-esque pub. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 sic1314 (229) Leiden, Netherlands | August 27, 2012 Superb old school Scottish bar, one of the greats in the country. Huge range of cask ales over the years, definite visit if in the city. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 Rune (319) Tromsø, Norway | April 30, 2012 A pleasant, traditional pub located not far from the university campus in the west end of Glasgow. Has got an interesting range of nine cask ales, including ales from very local breweries. The beers I had were in excellent condition and served by an attentive staff. Busy early on a Thursday eve. They had got the meet the brewery sessions now and then, and was expecting the Titanic brewery the next day. Belongs to the Maclay Inns & Pub chain. In friendly company with local ratebeerians (visited, 12.04.2012). | 98 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 20/20 Vlad (11) Glasgow, Scotland | April 9, 2012 THE BEST PUB in Glasgow. Full stop. My favourite place. Brilliant choice of real ales, and constant rotation of the guest beers. This is THE place to go. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 17/20 Benjii (63) Edinburgh, Scotland | March 1, 2012 A great real ale bar in Glasgow’s west end. A large range of cask ales and 1 cask cider. This bar has a nice local boozer feel and is directly opposite Bruadar. Recommended. | 54 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 1/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 13/20 JohnS1704 (2) , Scotland | March 1, 2012 A shadow of its former self. Cellars too warm and staff a bit on the cold side. Decent ale but not in top nick on last few occasions. | 84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 4/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 Neilinblack (10) , Scotland | December 16, 2011 Allways a port of call when in Glasgow - great range of beers | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 skortila (127) Baarn, Netherlands | September 27, 2011 Nice pub, friendly staff. Visited a stout, mild and porter day. Some nice stuff on. Classic atmosphere. Nice. |
