Just opened... been there twice... small store front right in downtown... not much room for much else but a 20’ bar, a few small tables and a shelf that runs along the wall opposite the bar. They have 16 taps plus a couple of dozen bottled beers. Good selection of beer, some not seen in this area and a few are real quality selections... a little expensive for some of the offerings. Not much for food... a few "tapas" offered, but the focus is definitely the beer. Staff is (owners are) very friendly and knowledgeable about the beer being served. The combination of a decent selection of drafts and the friendly atmosphere will bring me back time and again... :-)

Visited 2/12/14 with Linh, Minh and Angela. Normal bar area with additional booth seating in a side room. Solid bottle list and an even better draft list. Expect hill farm, heady topper, zero gravity and other fresh pale ales. This would be the dream hometown bar. Good service.

Stopped in for a couple beers shortly after they opened on a Saturday. Excellent taplist, decent bottle list. They were tapping a double dry hopped cask of Lawson’s Double Sunshine. Could have spent hours and lots of money here.

When I visited: Late May 2013. What I had: Sixpoint Apollo Wheat, Ballast Point Yellowtail Pale Ale, Dieu du Ciel! Pénombre IPA Noire, and Grassroots / Three Penny Song of Spring on tap, sample of Founders Doom Imperial IPA, Gueuze-Braised Rabbit and Spaetzle, Spring Chicken Stew and Pastry and white wine for the wife, Old Rasputin Brownies to split. What I liked: Exceptional food, beautiful dining room, first-rate table service from our waiter, solid and clearly visible draught list, good music, lively atmosphere on the bar side. What I disliked: We had a group of seniors staring at us the entire time that we ate, which made things a little uncomfortable. Unlike our waiter the bartender was surly and seemed bothered when I asked for samples. He also took forever to bring the check. The tap lineup, while very good, didn’t blow me away. Would I go back? Yes. Despite its shortcomings this is still a great beer bar and resto. Overall Rating: 82

This is perhaps the best beer joint I have ever been to though I should probably say "gastropub". Excellent selection of local brews and and food (VT cheese!) make this a must visit if in the area.

This place was hopping when we arrived. Local focused draft list, light on the HF but had double sunshine and lots of other beers I’d never even heard of. They all were great, plus a superb reasonably prices bottle list. Has the beer bar feel, more so than any other place in Vermont. A place I’m used to and like, I’d be back for sure. The food menu looked great, wish I had eaten there.

Kick ass tap and bottle selection. Loads of interesting local stuff and a bit that crosses the border. This would be my go-to bar in the area, hands down.

Can’t think of any improvements I’d make. One of a kind drafts and bottles, crazy good. Great bartender on the Saturday afternoon we went, extremely helpful. Ambiance of an old neighborhood in a perfect way. Wish we’d had more time to try food and more brews.

Great spot right on Main St. and a less than a mile from Hunger Mountain Co-Op. Great draft ist of Vermont must haves like Lawsons, Hill, and Alchemist along with an eclectic mix of new england and imported beers too. Very friendly bar staff with knowledge of beers being served. Great bottle list that had me wishing I was there with a few friends so I could get into some of them... the food was fantastic and quick. Nice atmosphere ! Really enjoyed my lunch there !

2013-04-26. Nice little spot in a quaint little strip of the city. We managed to get street parking a short walk away despite it being quite busy at the time. We walked into a VERY busy bar side around 5:30 on a Friday night and were happy to find seats in the quieter dining area. Beer selection was pretty good with a selection of styles and breweries. I was driving so I opted for a root beer and stole some of Mabel’s flight, which were a bit disappointing but still stuff we were glad to try. I got the burger which seemed a bit small when it arrived but after one bite I had no complaints. Delicious! Mabel’s stew was also excellent. Finished dinner with some Old Rasputin brownies which were delicious. A serving of three brownies is a bit much though!
