I went to Three Penny taproom on a Thursday afternoon. The place is beautiful and well-located. There’s was not a lot of people at the time we went there so it’s hard to judge the ambiance. Service was good. There was 25 tap-line. Many good beer, but nothing exceptional. Short, but impressive bottle list (including Ale Apothecary). Food was excellent. My burger was small, but really tasty. Price are ok. Really nice beer bar.

Walking in it looked inviting. It did not have the appeal of a dive bar but it was a place that took pride in serving drinks. Then the bartenders seemed to not really care that my party walked in. It was not busy and we easily found some seats at the bar and sat down. I was excited to see the listed bottles available for sale on their chalk board. They had some good Cantillon, 3 Fountein, and a bottle or two of some lesser known breweries. After a minute or two a bartender conversed with us. He answered any question that I had and was pleasant about it. As for tap selection it was not insanely good but it had a few things up there that I was curious to try. Overall this place is one of the better places to get a pint. I would recommend stopping in if you’re in the area.

Solid little pub that looks like a coffee shop. Not much else going on in Burlington. Had a good burger but food options are limited. Was very happy to see Heady Topper and HF on the menu.

Really great bar in Montpelier. Felt a bit hipster but I’ll let it slide. Taps are always great with tons of VT and import taps. Im not going to rate the food because Ive never had it. Bartenders were attentive and quick. The place just expanded to a dining room space next door. Great spot.

Stopped in after my NECI tour had finished up at the Chef’s Table. Perhaps one of the chillest barroom experiences I’ve yet encountered. The bar was large and there was only one man behind it doing tap maintenance but he was fast and prompt when I gave him requests for beers I wanted to try. He was also a big help in finding Hunger Mountain as was the server at the door of whom actually went onto Googlemaps on his iPhone for my cause. Rotating taps; wonderful beer.

Decided to stop in here for lunch before heading up to Hill Farmstead for the night. Atmosphere was very laid back, a few people at the bar watching TV and talking amongst themselves about all things beer. Quality seemed to be pretty high across the board. My beers were all served in the correct glasses and my burger was made with top notch ingredients. My bartender was awesome. We talked about beer and my impending trip to Hill Farmstead and he even gave me some stickers when I was getting ready to leave.
The selection was great. All kinds of local beers to go along with a few national offerings. Plenty of Hill Farmstead and Lawson’s on which is always welcome in my book. Since I went here for lunch I decided to go with the single burger, which I added bacon to. While my burger tasted great and was cooked to perfection I was a little dissapointed in its size. For $9 + $3! for bacon I was expecting to get my moneys worth. I can get a half pound bacon cheese burger that tastes just as good for $7 around here...Overall a really awesome beer bar that I will definitely return to when I am in the area.

Very nice place in the middle of one of the quaintest cities in america, this place is a sure stop on any beer goes travels. A nice selection of some hard to find brews. Good ambiance and a nice staff, recommend a visit. Not a huge menu of food but its worth it for the beer

What an awesome place. Stopped in with my family on the way through Vermont. I could have spent a week in this place! Lovely, albeit small, menu of great tasting food. Roughly a dozen or so beer on tap, all of them top notch beers from Vermont and beyond. Service was friendly and quick. Fed everyone plus beers for less than $60. Nothing at all bad to say about this great spot. A must visit.
