This is probably my favorite place to eat and drink in Tucson. Their beer is exceptional, and food very good. Iím never disappointed with Thunder Canyon. I think they have the best burger in town as well.

The waiter told us that the people who owned Prescott Brewery also own Thunder Canyon Brewery. The food was very good and the menu had some of the same items as on the Prescott menu. They had 10 of their beers on tap the day we were there and our waiter was knowledgeable about the beers. It is a typical American brewpub but it is clean and no smoke (at least there wasnít any when we were there). A very nice place that we would go back to again. Their actual website is www.thundercanyonbrewery.com.

My favorite place in Tucson for craft beer. The food is average but the service is always good and there is always something new on tap. Usually always a cask and barrel aged offering as well. The guest taps are always decent and the prices are very fair.

Thunder Canyon is sort of like an independently-owned Rock Bottom or BJís. I say this because they share many of the same characteristics of the chain brewpubs but differ from them in very clear ways. For one, they do a lot of simply passable, generic beers. Theyíre the sort of beers that you drink and say "Meh..." and come on here and give a low rating. But screw that crap; they also do some very good beers, you just have to watch out for them. Every once in a while, one of those beers will come on tap briefly, and thatís what keeps me coming back here. We would mostly come up for the happy hour, which features good deals on beers but also some great deals on their food (try the Catalina Fingers). They also do late night deals, daily specials and mug club deals. In other words: they work hard to keep your beer cheap. The atmosphere is lame, yes. Nothing quite as unfortunate as, not just a mall brewpub, but a second-rate mall (which Foothills Mall is) brewpub. You have to look past that. For years, I think I couldnít look past it and would just never come here. Then two things happened: I started working very near here (very bad, very brief job) and they started working with 1702 to create an excellent dark IPA often available at that bar. After that, I became essentially a loyal regular. There are a lot of loyal regulars here. But, unfortunately, a lot of those regulars are here because this is, factually speaking, one of the few full bars in the area. Therefore, you get a lot of people taking advantage of the margarita (theyíre terrible here, FYI) and Stoli specials, and drinking wine. Please donít do that: itís a beer place. You get better service at the bar because the bartenders know more about the beers and can give you recommendations. If youíre there, ask about their "cask" and their "Belgian," because they always have one of each on tap, but theyíre not listed on their beer list thatís on the wall. For food, the food tends to be good. Itís one of those places where you really have to know what to order. I like the Catalina Fingers and I like the nachos. They have good burgers too. The full entrees are also good.

Decent place, the room inside is quite big lots of space. We just got some drinks no food. We sat out side and was served pretty fast. the beers were decent and easy down. Patio had a bar with it, with a nice set of tap handles. Good place to spot in, if your in the area

Finally made the pilgrimage for the release of BA Warhead. The place is in a mall area and roughly approximates a beer-oriented Applebees. Very casual ambiance and decent food. Great selection of their beers on tap. Friendly service.

Most of the beer is average, however the warhead stout and the ipa is enough to keep me coming back to their outstanding food. Good location as well, in Northwest Tucson at the Foothills Mall.
