I read that the place had a nice selection before hand, and was positively surprised. They had a couple of Norwegian micros on tap, including Kinn, as well as Maredsous Blonde which was quite nice but pricey compared to the higher quality stuff. The place is quite nice, like a sophisticated arcade, where the shuffle boards are the big draw. It’s quite nice for just a pint as well, but the music is a little too loud to be able to have a conversation with anyone else than your neighbor unless you want to wake up with a soar throat the next day. The place is sort of hidden on the side of Rockefeller music hall, and has no signs visible from the outside, you’ll only see it when you’re at the doorstep. Their home page and face book page lack an address - weird concept.

Another Oslo bar which is not located at the address given! You can’t get in via Torrgata 16 but have to go around the corner! A spit and sawdust feel to this one and my Mrs was instantly ill at ease although I was fine. The game rooms look fun but I couldn’t be bothered to hang around as the beer selection was not much at all (one Nogne O and one Kinn, couple of others) and I don’t understand why it scores so highly. Slightly cheaper than other Norwegian bars - but that just means it’s stupidly expensive instead of ruinously expensive.

A well attended pub/bar for the younger crowd. Good music and good beer selection. Norwegian micro on tap, including from Kinn Brewery. Visit if you are nearby.

Good place to drop by once in a while. Play a bit of shuffleboard. Good beer selection, with interesting variety.

A great place for beer enthusiasts in Oslo.

Rather unusual two-room bar in central Oslo. One room is reserved for bar game like pinball machines, billiard tables, shuttle-boards etc. Some video games in the drinking room, too. The bar offers about 25-30 interesting bottled ales from De Molen, Mikkeller, BrewDog and some otherwise hard to find Norwegian micros, like Kinn and Ægir. Tilt often has Norwegian ales on taps and bottles that you do not find at other places in Oslo. The right kind of music was played during my visit on a Thursday afternoon, meaning Motorhead and Beatles. On week days Tilt opens at 15.00. Can be a bit tricky to find, look for the red sign behind the front door (Visited, 05.01.2012).

One of my regular watering holes when in Ocslo, discovered this via KnutAlberts excellent blog, and the reason to visit this place was the beers from Kinn bresery, served from tap her, as one of the first in the capitol. Seems to be more crowded year by year, good to see a pub with an extended beer menu doing well. This place should be on your to do list for Oslo.
