I just checked their website while planning to visit for lunch only to discover they are no longer open for lunch! Very disappointing for me, They are just open evenings and Sunday afternoons now. This bumped their score down for me as who wants to go way out to the middle of nowhere in the evenings??? It was a great place for lunch...
As KyotoLefty said this place is off the beaten track but has a great lunch set. I got their 1500 yen tasting lunch which gave me a sampler of their 4 beers on tap. They serve okinawan food in a small room with seating for about 30 people.
Their taps change often so call to see what is on tap.
This is my favorite brewery in Kyoto, they have a happoshu license so they specialize in fruit beers. They donít bottle but are often at beer festivals in Kansai. Theyíre also available in some bars on tap in Kyoto.
They make interesting beers like: Old Ale, Banana Weizen, Ginger, Peach, Mint, Kabocha(Japanese pumpkin), etc.

Newly opened brewpub connected to an Okinawa-themed restaurant. We had a nice lunch special that included a small beer for •1000. It was tasty and the staff were friendly. The beers were pretty good for a Japanese micro that has only been open for 2 months. They could still use some refinement, for sure, but they were all decent. Itís a nice place in the Kita-Shirakawa district of NE Kyoto, a touristy area. A good choice for lunch or dinner if you happen to be seeing temples in the area. A bit out of the center of town, though.
