This is my spot! Amazing beer selection of rotating California beers with a heavy emphasis on IPAs. What’s more, they have the best beer prices anywhere and use the correct glassware.
Food, staff, and patrons are all tops in my books.
Last, they have board games and a huge beer book library - how cool is that?

Awesome selection, great staff, great food, very comfortable down to earth vibe. This is what a local neighborhood pub is all about! the way the Fathers Office use to be back when Lou owned it before it became a yupafied snob fest.
I can’t say enough about the vibe at Tony’s, the bartender was super friendly and there to take care of your every need.
He was on top of his game, he knew his beer, not one once of attitude and checked back often to make sure we were comfortable. These guys are doing it right! Lets just hope it stays this way.

There a reason why there is so much hype about this little out of the way dive bar: It’s the real deal!
When I frist walked in I felt it could have been any bar in any town but the longer I stay the more I love it.
The beauty is in the details. Generous sized glasses, cheap prices, great food, tons of games and books, chill staff.
If they had beer from Belgium I’d give this place 100 but kept a few points off for that.

A well earned reputation as one of the leaders in LA craft beer.
Spent the weekend in LA and visited 3 great bars and I think this is my favorite overall.
i can get behind the all California theme because the beers here are just that good.
2 Barleywines on at the same time - kudos.
14 IPA’s including some rarities.

Great find while working up here in Burbank. Bartenders were great and my sandwich was delicious. It was busy but I still got attention when my glass was empty. This place embodies the perfect West Coast IPA bar. Some tables were playing board games and a lot of people were cooing over the Alpine Nelson IPA. I felt right at home. Thank you!

what can i say..theres something endearing about a place that looks like a cozy dive bar that has one of the best selections in the state of california. The IPA selection is staggering, with at least half the draft selection in dedication to worshipping hops. Be warned: when it gets busy, service can be a little frantic and scarce, but its worth the wait.

Blown away by this little bar in the middle of nowhere. Pliny, Mongo, Just Outstanding, Harvest, Sculpin, were all on tap at the same time and that was just part of the lineup.
Vibe reminded me of being back home in Wisconsin. The beers rivaled any place in Portland. The staff was so friendly. Can’t wait to go back.

Great place with a very friendly staff. Good selection of beer that promote California based breweries. Great variety of sausages that pair well with the many types of beer.

I went here back in March with my lovely Rita on our long-awaited LA trip. This place was definitely a highlight of the trip. We arrived at maybe 9:30 on a Thursday night and it was pretty crowded, as in zero empty seats crowded. The space itself is nothing fancy or condescending, just wood walls with lots of breweriana and even a beer library. We walked the length of the small place a couple times making sure we weren’t missing an open spot or 2, all the seats were taken. We were about to leave and try a different night when a couple at the bar got up and left. YESSS!!! If only we could always have such luck!
We were quickly seen by the bartender, despite the crowd. The beer menu is divided into 2 sections: IPAs and Other. Definitely my kind of place. Everything is draft, it’s all from California, and it’s all awesome, including the 20 or so IPAs. Yes, Pliny was on when I was there, which is a huge treat in itself. Lots of stuff from breweries I hadn’t heard of and apparently some one-offs as well. In addition to Pliny and some other things, I had a sour from Drake’s Brewing called Hyperion that, at the time, wasn’t even listed on RateBeer or BeerAdvocate. I wish I would’ve taken notes and reviewed that too, but it was pretty unique and reminded me a bit of Boulevard Love Child #2 or New Glarus Enigma. I loved it and wish I could’ve brought back a growler.
The food menu is small and revolves around sausage-based fare, which is perfect for this place if you ask me. What’s more, they have Vegan versions of every sausage and they cook the Vegan food on dedicated Vegan cookware. My girlfriend, who is vegetarian, loved this of course. My meat sausage was very good, and her vegan one was probably the best vegan meat substitute I’ve ever tried.
This is such an awesome place. I wish we would’ve gone every day we were in LA. My girlfriend and I talk about it at least weekly still. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in L.A.
