Slick bar and bottle shop located on a back street in downtown. I was impressed to see the chilled stock were kept in fridges with minimal lighting, and it was a tidy selection too. I had a delicious pour of Carton Milk Stout at the bar and the draft list had beers that I didn’t see elsewhere around the city. The bartender was welcoming and offered to pour tasters before purchasing and there are flights available. Not too far from One Mile House which makes a good combined visit.

Great craftbeer bar in NYC. Funny thing is I literally stumbled upon it while visiting the Tenement Museum across the street (like a mirage of an oasis...except it was real...lol!). Not sure why I’d never found this place before...but I’m certain I won’t forget it. Great simple but effective layout with nice ambiance (craftbeer-wise that is). I love the beer cases in the back...and the setup of the taps and particularly the beer boards are great. They have a fine selection of local and hard to get US drafts. They had a number of taps featuring Finch while I was there...including Threadless IPA. Try the food while visiting...simple but effective...like meats and cheeses and other quality snacks. Top Hops would be a nice addition to any lower east side or east Village craftbeer tour.

Some of the best service I’ve had while shopping for bottles. The place and people was so nice I decided to have a few samplers at the bar while trying to figure our how much beer I could fit in my bag. Absolutely well spent time.
Girlfriend tried the meat and cheese plate while waiting, she enjoyed it, but won’t rate food based on her experience.

A really cool place, a mix of a modern bar and a beer store. Visited a few days after their Bourbon County Stout event and they still had some of the variants on tap, and the other of the 20 taps were filled with great beers. Samplers available, friendly service, okay prices. Definitely worth a visit when in town, and you can visit other bottle stores in the area too if they are missing something.

Great spot. About 22 beers on keg, available in flights or normal size pours. Fair value. Attentive and friendly staff. They also have 100+ bottles that you can buy to take away or to drink on site (add $2). Nice selection of bar nibbles available, along with free pretzels. Definitely a place to seek out while in NYC.

Very nice selection, in particular US beers. Also Belgium well represented, some crafts from elsewhere also.

Nice space and well treated collection of bottles. Typically odd selection of international beers for the States, from fine European bottles to ’hey we can try something from a new country no one else has, no matter how good it might be’. Service was snappy on a busy Friday night and the beer-geek and hip crowd was pleasant too, a nice place to have a beer. Draft selection was solid too.
