I know for a fact I rated this one before... Why do ratings get deleted all the time???? Visited in 2013. Had a tasting flight and a pint of the Oude Tart on draught. Was an awesome experience back then. Bartender was very unfriendly though. This time, the draught list was really mediocre, but the bartender was friendly, and the stuff they had in the fridges was more then enough to chose from.
Recommended for shopping in NYC.

I enjoyed finding this beer store in NYC,
which offers a well stocked and well represented collection of ales.
Their dimly lit room offers selections from the multiple-shelved wall that leads to the coolers in the back.
Whilst I did notice some Hill Farmstead bottles on the top shelf, those I was told were trophy bottles. Too bad!
Anyhow their tap menu was broad and catagorized on the board behind the bar.
I had a delicious IPA and though I inquired
about some rarities such as Mexican Cake
(as I was able to score a bottle at Torst),
no such luck. A nice vibe, cozy, and service was attentive.

Decent bar and beer shop. Kinda small place with few tables and a long bar. Got 2 long refrigerators full of beer and wall full of shelf with more. I was bit disappointed from the selection - They had a bad lager and some other non interesting beers. They serve flights. Food is bunch of cheese/meat plates or pretzel. Visit only if youíre around.

Slick bar and bottle shop located on a back street in downtown. I was impressed to see the chilled stock were kept in fridges with minimal lighting, and it was a tidy selection too. I had a delicious pour of Carton Milk Stout at the bar and the draft list had beers that I didnít see elsewhere around the city. The bartender was welcoming and offered to pour tasters before purchasing and there are flights available. Not too far from One Mile House which makes a good combined visit.

Great craftbeer bar in NYC. Funny thing is I literally stumbled upon it while visiting the Tenement Museum across the street (like a mirage of an oasis...except it was real...lol!). Not sure why Iíd never found this place before...but Iím certain I wonít forget it. Great simple but effective layout with nice ambiance (craftbeer-wise that is). I love the beer cases in the back...and the setup of the taps and particularly the beer boards are great. They have a fine selection of local and hard to get US drafts. They had a number of taps featuring Finch while I was there...including Threadless IPA. Try the food while visiting...simple but effective...like meats and cheeses and other quality snacks. Top Hops would be a nice addition to any lower east side or east Village craftbeer tour.

Some of the best service Iíve had while shopping for bottles. The place and people was so nice I decided to have a few samplers at the bar while trying to figure our how much beer I could fit in my bag. Absolutely well spent time.
Girlfriend tried the meat and cheese plate while waiting, she enjoyed it, but wonít rate food based on her experience.

A really cool place, a mix of a modern bar and a beer store. Visited a few days after their Bourbon County Stout event and they still had some of the variants on tap, and the other of the 20 taps were filled with great beers. Samplers available, friendly service, okay prices. Definitely worth a visit when in town, and you can visit other bottle stores in the area too if they are missing something.
