This place is a tiny gem in the middle of nowhere. It is totally worth taking a side trip to come check it out. It has a meager looking exterior, but the people are very nice and their beers are incredible. This is a brewery is already making waves.

Pretty unassuming little place. Looks like a former fast food restaurant re-fitted as a tap room. Small bar and a few tables. There were a couple of regulars in the place who complimented me on my selections (a sample flight of IPAs). The beer might be a bit on the expensive side, but I was able to purchase a couple of cases of stuff that hardly ever makes it to the Twin Cities. The beer itself, the reason for being there, was outstanding. The place might work a bit on ambiance, etc., to really be more welcoming. Glad I stopped by, though.

Decent little taproom that splits the difference between craft destination and neighborhood bar. The staff are bar employees, not passionate craft advocates. TVs show sports while locals sit at the bar and discuss hunting tactics. The college soccer team comes in and pushes all the available tables together. The beers are generally of very high quality but there are definitely choices that seem tailored to more egalitarian tastes. Three bottles available for takeaway on this visit. An enjoyable visit, if not really on the same plane of greatness as other comparable places.

Pretty small tasting room in what felt to me like nowhere Iowa. We drove up from Cedar Falls past little towns and cornfields and eventually made it to the taproom. Almost sports bar in feel. Half dozen or so taps and one guy filling ten growlers for a girl from Nashville. Must visit place, for sure. I wish the rare stuff was on tap....but a good experience anyway.

Nice little tap room up on a hill. Super friendly service. The bartenders were really hustling. Nice outdoor seating available too. I was there on a Friday afternoon. Would have given higher marks but only 6 beers on tap. Only two or three available for growler fills and absolutely ZERO bottles of anything available to go. I guess they are struggling to keep up with demand.

Stopped in on a Wednesday afternoon/early evening. They have their own dedicated parking lot just outside of downtown Decorah. It’s up on a hill, but it’s still able to be seen easily from the road. It’s fairly small on the inside with maybe twenty tables and a bar to seat 10 or so. When the wife and I got here there were 15 people in here, mostly sitting at the bar. People came in and got growler fills and a pint, and then left. I suppose that’s what a lot of their clientele are like. The bartenders that waited on me were both very friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs. The offered flights of 4 at a time and all but one of their beers on draft were available to be included. All the beers were pretty good. It was a nice, laid back environment to sit and have beers. I would love to make it back here some day and hopefully I can. Food was not offered when I was here. No food trucks. 64 ounce growlers available in clear or amber. Only had one bottle available with a 2 case limit. They also had a couple different shaker pints and a tulip glass available.

Stopped in enroute to Montana in mid January. I have to admit I was questioning my sanity as we drove in on 2 lane icy roads at night. But this was very worthwhile -- with 8 really nice beers on tap. Friendly clientele and bar tender. Nice vibe. Worth a visit.

Worth the drive. Looks like an old Pizza Hut from the outside, but the inside is really nice and super chill. The Server was super nice and very knowledgeable. The beer was really tasty, and the merchandise was too good to pass up. Grabbed a Zeelander and Riwaken Dead Growler for home and a Sixer of PseudoSue Bombers for the beer cellar. Great time, will definitely be back as soon as possible.

Definitely not the easiest town to get to, but the brewery was easy to find at the top of a hill. It looks like it was formally a restaurant so there’s plenty of parking. It’s very clean and bright inside with a patio outside as well. They had 11 of theirs and 1 guest tap. They don’t serve food but someone ordered a pizza so they’re cool with people bringing in food. The beer I had was fantastic with the pseudo sue perhaps the best pale ale I’ve yet sampled. I went on a Sunday which seems to be a popular day for growlers but everyone was nice and friendly. The only negative is their serving beer in refridgertated glasses but when you make beer as good as pseudoSue it doesn’t matter. Definielty worth the trip.
