Overrated. Obnoxiously loud music on a quiet Sunday evening. The draft list was okay, but there wasn’t anything to get too fired up about. The food menu looked boring 10 years ago and was priced like we were in London. The crowd was a bunch of hipster twenty-somethings twiddling their phones solo. If Tiger!Tiger! could up the quality of their draft list, I wouldn’t even think about going here. Major downer for my first Toronado experience.

A big local selection of beers, plus several bottles. Better service, cleaner than the SF location. Went a second time because the Cable Car was listed at $40 which I thought was reasonable for this rare one, unfortunately it suddenly became $60.

Definitely the best bar in San Diego in terms of selection. This is a fairly small place with a capacity of probably under 100. As we were here for San Diego Beer Week, the tap selection was pretty damn awesome, with many one-offs and limited releases available. We got to try the famed Cable Car, as well as a few other special ones. Food was very good (veggie/vegan friendly), and prices were very reasonable. Service was okay as well - no-nonsense and straight to the point. If you don’t stop here when in San Diego, I don’t know what’s wrong with you.

Really don’t know why people complain about service. I walked in for the first time in my life and had a wonderful experience. Nate is the man to ask at the bar, incredible draft selection and bottles too (pricey). Had a really cool night hanging out at Toronado where I met lot of nice people. I’ll come back as soon as possible! Thanks Nate!!

Selection is great; however the service kills this place. Decent place but I there are far better places in San Diego.

Visited a few times since the first anniversary.
This is in a nice part of town near some other nice bars in a college-y part of town. This has a similar quality tap list to the one in SF (slightly better breweries in SD) and a cool bottle list if you’re into Lost Abbey but without the heart and soul of the dumpy original counterpart in SF. This place is just so sterile and could use a bit of soul. No metal on the jukebox, everything is clean and quiet and well behaved full of beerbros bottle sharing in the corner. Don’t get me wrong, I’d hang out here semi regularly if I was local but for my gas money and time I’ll go to Beachwood instead.

Great tap list, terrible service. You get a split second to tell them what you want or they walk away. Worth a visit but wouldn’t go back. It’s the same in SF.
Rude is not ’edgy’ or ’Rock & Roll’, It’s just rude.

Great pub and not to be missed if you’re in town, staff know their beers and they have plenty of great beers to choose from!
