Short review. Great ambiance and a lot of nice folks to talk to. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Great selection on draft. An example for beer bars around the world. Love this place!

Popped in here with puzzl, feedmecookies, maxxdaddy jessbnjess and j12601 after spending a day at Spuyten and Fette Sau. This is easily the most beautiful bar Iíve ever been in. Custom designed furniture with lots of contrasting wood motifs and carved/polished fixtures. The beer is definitely on the expensive end, but itís a very well-chosen list and the servers were professional and friendly. Had a loaf of the rye bread (which was amazing - but could have used some sort of butter or savoury spread) and enjoyed it. This is a world class spot - no doubt about that, I hope they can continue with their winning streak.

Located in the middle of Little Poland, this safe haven for thirsty and quality-conscious ratebeerians is a mandatory place to visit while in NYC. Modern, Scandinavian interior, 21 taps, a good selection of (especially Scandinavian) brews, friendly and knowledgeable staff, no nonsense. Pricey? Yes. Cozy? Not exactly. But, hell, man, it is NYC, where you pay for quality and do get it.

This place has a pretty great selection of beer. It also has very tasty Danish bread, which is a reason to go here all by itself. The selection is heavily tilted toward the Italian, Danish, and Belgian beers. There are old bottles of fun things like De Dolle Stille Nacht Reserva. The ambiance is cool. The music is good. Bartenders certainly know what they are doing. Apparently the tap system is also one of the most advanced in the world. The only and biggest downside is that it is very expensive. A tiny glass of beer could set you back $13 or so. Obviously, if money is not an issue, then this place is superb. One minor point in response to the previous rating: the bar tables are not marble... they just look like it.

Finally got to hit this place...been wanting to go there since it opened. Beautiful bar, very "clean" look to the interior, really beautiful. Love the draft listings and all the Evil Twin stuff that you canít get anywhere else. Staff was super-friendly and charged my phone...very knowledgeable on all things beer. Got to check out the back room and hopefully next time Iíll be able to eat there (or at the bar). A must-visit spot if youíre in NYC, no doubt about it.

A great place that lives up to the hype. Arrived around 3, dead to start which is nice, got to chat up the staff and learn about the co2 system. Very cool interior. The staff was not only passionate about the bar, but knowledgable about beer in a genuine way. The draft list was outstanding with Mo, Zymatore variant, and some cool Evil Twins. The bottle list was extensive but the real gems are all the different Evil Twin beers. Roughly 20 of them, and 6 pretty rare and unique stout and barley wine variants. The bar food was great, I was drooling over the chicken sandwich. The hidden restaurant was an even cooler set up. Very impressed. Thereís a reason a ton of tourists where there by the time I left. This is a true destination spot.

Exceptional beer bar in Brooklyn. Clean and modern design. Bartenders were very knowledgeable and friendly and did not leave your beer empty. Diverse tap selection including a good number of new releases and rare beers. Large bottle list including some exclusive beers. Lacks a full kitchen menu but they have some snacks available. Definitely worth a visit if youíre in New York.

An exceptional bar. Clean and sleek, itís a very professional place where the staff are attentive and amiable and the range of beers impressive. You will pay for the privilege (cheapest beers are about $1 per ounce) but it is a nice drinking experience. The selection of beers might impress Europeans slightly less than it does Americans, but thatís a somewhat minor quibble. I didnít eat but the there are upscale bar snacks available (cheese, olives, bread, etc.). Definitely worth a visit.
