Quite weird neighborhood. Cozy Scandinavian interior which means that chairs near the desk are very bad. I was expecting clinic hospital style place but I was wrong. Many good beers but prices are high naturally.

Unassuming entranced, walked by twice. Large nice bar and efficient seating split into tons of small tables. Service knew their stuff and very geek friendly. Selection was big and interesting, with lots of imports. No flights but small pours. Prices are on the higher side, but worth it. I didnít eat. Great place and worth the hype.

Selection was very mediocer when I visited . Service was nice, atmosphere was very cool , clean . The bar itself looks very fancy , very detailed . Lacks of cosyness though . I expected much Evil twins , and They did have that, but none of the wanted ones . Instead they had their pilsner , some low-abv mediocer beers , etc . Also some other breweryís , but cots was very high compared to other bars .
nevertheless , I seemed to have missed out on the bottle menu , and the food . So Iíll re-visit again and probably my rating would rise .

Great service and selection, the place is quite small but the interiors are killer. Kind of on the expensive side, but not overly so.

A surprisingly small place with a nice modern design and an impressive high-tech tap system. Loud and packed during a Friday evening visit, as expected. Tap list was focused on Evil Twin and European beers, nothing super special was available during my visit but a nice variety of styles nevertheless, although at quite high prices. The bottle list was really impressive, but the rare stuff was really pricey too. This place would be awesome for a bottle share with friends during a peaceful afternoon visit.

Uber cool high tech mod fitout and no shortage of opinionated beer nerds (complete with obligatory cult brewery t-shirts). Even at 2pm on a Sunday arvo. Doesnít quite have the warm of a traditional US bar but still pretty friendly. Very international list with a focus on left of centre. Pricing on the high side but reflects the quality of the beers. Served via cabernet glasses - a nice touch. I really grew to like the place and they use a small space well. Can I say it reminds me of Two Row in Melbourne? And....btw....the only other bar I have ever seen where punters are punching out tasting notes!

Torst is one of the most unique and refreshingly different beer spots in NYC and probably the entire US. The design is beautiful. Itís never overcrowded. The bar tenders are knowledgable, skilled, and really friendly in my experience. The food is worthy of every accolade at the bar and Luksus. The beer is served better than anywhere Iíve been to in NYC. The draught selection is always a pleasure to drink from though it suffers from too much of the Dannish and Nordic beer mafia, who are not all that IMO. That being said Iím totally happy to see lots of Evil Twin. It only makes sense. The bottle list is also not so interesting as itís first few months open though there are many gems. Major problem is that itís too expensive to make it a regular spot.

This place is just world class. From the marble bench tops to the sexy tap display, this place screams awesome. Great beer list - lots of BIG beers. Bottle list is amazing too. The bar tenders are so cool. Let us drink after hours with them then we kicked on to a cocktail bar. Just an amazing night thanks Torst for the hospitality.
