I love this place but itís small. So itís great to grab a beer and sit for a minute with a friend or co-worker and maybe buy a bottle. This is perfect for me but I am not going to sit there for hours drinking beer. The original Trappist is better for that. Also, the staff know their stuff and are friendly.

Cool little place in Oakland. Combination bottle shop and taproom. Has some snacks available (I did not try them). Expensive, but what else do you expect in SF? Nice mix of stuff on tap with several sours, stuff from Europe and a nice collaboration beer from Mikkeler and Grassroots. Several coolers of beer. Would certainly stop by again if I was in the area!

Classy spot with 12 taps and a great bottle selection. It is a small place and alittle pricey.

One of my favorite places in the bay area. Small clean shop that has a european feel to it. Attention to detail and care of the beer, especially the draft. Small but one of the best tap lists during my trip. Knowledgeable staff and a couple of nice bottles to go rounded out my stop. Will be back again for sure.

Great bottle selection, but rather expensive. Tap selections varies in quality. Their goal is to only carry beer stat most other places donít, which means they donít cary any "regular" local or not local beers. A little bit strange for a California beer bar.

I have been here many times and the service is always Excellent, and The bartenders are knowledgeable and nice.the Tap selection is limited sometimes but the bottle selection is always worth picking through..I have been here when they host Cantillon Releases and such and the organization is very nice with a ticket system so there is no screwing around..I always stop here a few times when I am in the area. Great Place!

Stopped in here for the Sante Adairius event the other night. I got there a little early and I was lucky when another guy had to leave so I was able to snag his seat at the bar. Nice seating area in the front along with all the bottles to go, more on those later. Small bar area toward the back, apparently they have an upstairs area as well but I never saw it. Service was great, got slower once the event started but that was expected. Quality was quite high. Lots of high end materials used in the space and the beers were all served in the correct glasses. Selection was stellar even without the event going on. They still had a Cantillon on from a previous event so I got one of those to start and then tried three of the Sante beers, all of which were incredible. Bottle selection was great as well. Some pretty rare Crooked Staves, limited Belgian beers and others. No food this time but it looked pretty sparse, mainly just small dishes to pick at. Prices were a little on the high side on some of the beers I looked at. Overall a really solid beer bar, I wish I could come here more often.

Its small and usually crowded when I go in but the service is decent. Food is mostly snacks, a couple cheeses and a couple snacks from a nearby restaurant. Beer selection is very good for Oakland, but the prices are definitely on the high side.

Small place, not the same as Trappist and boy are the prices for beer pretty high. Selection is nice, quite a bit to offer and some rarer things.

Came here a few weeks after they opened. Very bare bones operation. No decor, just taps of beer and a few coolers of bottles. Kind of an Ikea feel to the place. Very international selection similar to the original Trappist. I like the location in a more relaxed area of Oakland, but itís very small. The bartender was nice and personable. I showed up for the Struise double black and got a shot glass for about 10 bucks. Pricy, but where else can you get this brew? Anyway, I liked it, but probably wonít go out of my way unless they get some crazy stuff in which case Iíll gladly return.
