Large place with a couple of bars downstairs and a small but nice deck upstairs. Jam packed during SF beer week. Wortha look.

Walked here after stopping at Jupiter. We were seated at a booth and were served an interesting sampler of beers. The menu didnít help much as a good number of the beers in the sampler werenít on the menu. They had a couple of cask conditioned versions of their normal beers. They had a pretty decent red ale and good IPA. The Titanium pale ale was probably my favorite though.
The waitress was prompt and courteous and the bill was reasonable. The bartender was nice and asked us our thoughts about the beer, I think he is the brewer. The place was not overly buisy on a saturday afternoon but the patrons were lively and the place was enjoyable.
Update: been back a dozen times since. Always something new on. Also, the sour/barrel fest is awesome. Check it out.

Cool little brewpub in Berkeley right near Cal. The place is old/OG, and you get that feeling when youíre in there. Everything is wood, pretty much. Service is great, food is great, though the beers can be hit or miss. They have a tons of stuff on tap which is awesome, though only a handful really rotate much.

I love this place. The food order may get confused, but not the ale order. Usually two ales on cask. To die for. DUI? Find an outlying BART station and let BART do the transport. Hit the Jupiter as well; itís only a few blocks away.

Stopped in for lunch on my last day of travel induced batchelorhood. Definitely old school brewpub style, but interesting all the same. Running 8ish of their beers when we were there, all available in 5.5oz tasters if desired. Food was decent, beer was fair to middling, but the staff was pretty good, and I kind of liked the vibe of the place.

Been here a few times. A small bar, not a lot of seating. I didnít eat, so canít comment on the food. The beer is good. The service was slow. Not too impressive of a place, but Iím sure Iíll be back anyways.

Stopped in after going to Jupiter for lunch. Nice area with a saloon like feel. Friendly and very knowledgeable bar tender. Good and interesting beers with plenty of info for the beer geeks. Didnít try the food. 1 guest beer tap and a couple guest cider taps. 15 or 16 taps overall. Beer was good overall. Started talking to the couple next to me. Turns out it was the head brewer of Oakshire and his wife on vacation. We ended up chatting with the manager and the assistant brewer (soon to be head brewer), and got a tour of the small brewing facility (which is absolutely ancient). A great time was had, and Iíd love to go back.

Just a couple blocks up Shattuck from the BART station. Small place. There are three people at the bar who have managed to take up all of the seating. They had several house brew options. Their IPEX was solid. Had the hand cut fries with mild spices that really tasted good and hit the spot. Two big flat panel displays set up for supreme sports viewing. They have a tiny brew set up next to the bar and front door. It looks to be less than a 5 BBL system. Overall the beer selection is limited compared to nearby pubs. But I donít think youíll find their hose brews elsewhere. If so it is worth a visit for something new to try.

I was here a few weeks ago. Nice airy bar with hardwood floors, which is reminiscent of Big Time in Seattle. Tables on the right, bar on the left. They had about 10 house beers on and a couple guest beers on. Some nice and interesting choices. They also had Supplication on tap. Several hipsters working here, but they were knowledgeable and somewhat helpful. The food was forgettable pub faire, but good enough. Bathrooms were not the cleanest. Parking is a bitch, and I got a parking ticket. My bar tab started at 12:55pm and I received a ticket at 1:58pm. As I was heading out to my car to feed the meter again (at 2:00pm) , the meter maid was pulling away. Assholes.
