Visited in June 2014.
A failry large and centrally located place. It was almost empty during our visit in the early afternoon. The beers were sold in five different sizes, from 0,1 to 2,0 liter, costing between 18-322 NOK. I had a flight with eight beers. The beers were not that interesting to be honest.
The service was a bit slow but friendly. The food was mediocre. (I had a pork burger)

An institution in Trondheim, but sadly not the best beer place. They only serve in house brews, and the food is not that great. Their beers have gradually gotten better over the last years as they have started to use more hops, but it is rare to find very good beer here. The prices are average, buy a sampler tray if youre a first timer.

A lot better experience on my second visit here. Even an Imperial Stout.
Nice food! But I was not to impressed with their beers.
Not all of the staff either.
Maybee a smile course would have done well for some.
A bit to modern looking interior.
I would recomend Antikvariatet and Den Gode Nabo instead.

Much improved over the years, now there is a good range of well hopped beers. Try the sampler tray first, then sit bacjkand enjoy your favourite. Rotating specials and seasonals.

Popular place in the heart of Trondheim. Often loud and crowded on weekends. Not a traditional "beerlover hangout-ambiance" as you might be lead to believe from the name. Some beers are average, others are just poorly made. Service is shit and the bartenders rude. The bartender actually attacked a customer while we were there. Not recommended!!

Had bag searched on entry and my innocuous bottle of juice was confiscated. Then went to bar and ordered sample tray, to be told they won’t do them in the evening... Prices extortionate, was just about willing to pay once to score all six beers, but wasn’t going to pay as much to only try one... Very poor.

Has a definite student vibe, but still a niceish place done out in brick and pale wood. Serve only their own beers, but a good number of those, and the service is attentive and well-informed. The food is good, too.

Visited on Thursday 3 pm. We were the only customers. So the service was fast and friendly (and in Swedish). I had the sampler of 6 of their brews. From fair to excellent. Stout and Pale Ale were sold out. Could visit again when in Trondheim next time.

One of the oldest micro breweries in Norway. The older brother of Oslo mikrobryggeri. I didn’t expect much from this place based on what I had heard from other beergeeks and read, but I was pleasantly suprised when I visited them. They had just remodelled and fixed the place up so now it was bigger and brighter than before. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately they only sell their own beer as well as sodas and some drinks, so the selection gets a mark down, but it’s definitely worth a visit.
