A great place. Because of limited storage space, the ales aren’t matured as long as they should. They produce and serve great ales, that only misses the couple of weeks of maturing. great ambiance, where it’s possible to talk without shouting. Good service and happy employees. My favorite bar/brewpub in Trondheim!
Friendly brewpub situated right in the heart of Trondheim, though at distance from the busy shopping streets. The large four-edged servery is placed as an island in the centre of the pub with the Brewery at the end of the room. Seven different brews in 100ml sampling glass served on a tray. Pils, Special Amber, Pale Ale, Bitter, Stout, IPA and Juleøl were on when I visited the brewpub in December 07. With a proper glass of the Pale Ale I had a very well flavoured dish of sweet-and-sour wok. Cosy beer-oriented interior. Attentive waitress that made me feel welcome. One of the best beer places in Norway. (In from the cold and bitter frost on 12.12.2007).
Visited on Thursday 3 pm. We were the only customers. So the service was fast and friendly (and in Swedish). I had the sampler of 6 of their brews. From fair to excellent. Stout and Pale Ale were sold out. Could visit again when in Trondheim next time.
Really friendly and helpful staff, nice wooden/copper bar. Beer was very nice to try, lots of varieties, and in nice taster tray option. I was there quite early in day but heard it gets wilder in the evening.
Cozy place in the middle of Trondheim. Friendly staff that also knows some facts about the beers they sell. And if they don’t remember it by heart they know where to find the information. Food was ok and it was served quite quickly. There was music playing but it wasn’t too loud. The only negative side was that the lightning was quite dim.
