52 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 4/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 4/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 10/20 bambouchi (1) Texas | August 23, 2005 We were a large party so perhaps my service score is a little low. The ambience of this red brick bar is wonderful. Would be a great local hangout execpt the less than exciting beers. I had all five of the ones they had on tap (no porter their highest rated) and was amazed at how similar they all tasted. The food was your average pub fair. Tried the pizza and I think that is the way to go as my burger was as average as the beer. | 88 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 19/20 Homebrewer66 (2) Corona, California | August 17, 2005 This is my favorite place to have a good meal and a great beer. Headbrewer Matt Johnson knows how to create a flavorful selection of brews. | 76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 18/20 noattention (4) California | June 15, 2005 Great place. Nice, clean, tons of TV’s. Best of all, the house beers are generally good. The Hef is great. Also, the prices are very, very reasonable. Cheapest Guinness I can find. | 64 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 12/20 BeerLimey (113) California | November 12, 2004 Decent busy lunch atmosphere, a few TV’s and classic rock playing in the background. Typical brewpub bar and small kitchen. There are a few standout items on the menu as well as the usual brewpub fare, the sausage sampler was every good. Beers are more than reasonable, excellent porter and a better than average golden. Not worth going out of your way for but check it out if you’re in the area. | 62 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 12/20 Eyedrinkale (129) Astoria, New York | March 23, 2004 Probably the best of the Orange County named brewing companys (Huntington, Newport ect) this place has the best beer of those. My trip only yeilded 7 beers on tap. Although there on St. Patty's Day, not a big crowd. Freindly bar staff and decent food. |
