Not a bad little bar. The speakeasy was cramped, but they had a nice selection of beers on tap. Parking sucked. Not much space for that. As for the food i didnt eat, i was only interested in the brews.

Small compared to the only other location Iíve been to in Durham. Bartender was upbeat. Decent stuff on tap, but they were out of the first two selections I asked for. Menu looked good but the food was disappointing. Tight parking, prices okay.

Right in the middle of this little gem of a town called Carrboro which is about 1.5 miles from Chapel Hill. Went during the summer so it was as crowded as it must get during the school year. Relaxed intimate interior that was reinforced by the friendly staff. Draft offerings are a nice mix of local and regional craft offerings as well as some national brews as well. Food was straightforward and flavorful and everything was reasonable prized. Maybe not as overwhelming as the Durham or Raleigh locations but works nicely as a neighborhood hangout.

Right next door to Carrboro Beverage Company (same owners) and just one of four locations in the area (Apex, Durham, Raleigh). The ambiance is neutral, wood themed. Menu is uninspiring considering the Chapel Hill/Carrboro foodie area: burgers, pizza, large plate. A bit pricey for what is given. Service was extremely snotty when I was there, a bit dumbfounding given that this place is completely empty for lunch. Server was sort of a prick about beer and didnít even serve me the beer I asked for thinking that my questions about the beer meant I was not interested. Glassware was not correct for some beers served. Selection was okay: sweetened lambics, Heavy Seas, Highland, Southern Tier, Uinta. B level distributor. Though sometimes they will get a hold of some rarer one-offs. They do not have an updated tap list online, and they use twitter and facebook for all 4 of their locations, which gets annoying. They donít have a real website with any useful information, so you have to "like" them on facebook to get any real info out of them. For the scene, Iíd rather buy beer next door and drink it out in the lawn in front of Weaver St Market (this is allowed and legal). There is no open container violation out in the grass there. And I would eat somewhere like Milltown, Sandwhich, Southern Rail, Nealís Deli, Carrburritos. Really, any of these have more character. Pint night on Tuesdays where you get to keep/take home a logoíed pint glass is pretty nifty and I had friends that attended these religiously.

Visited a few years back, a pretty solid restaurant with a pretty good beer list.

Really nice restaurant and tap room. I like their flights, just not the prices. Food was great. Well thought beer selection.

Been to the original location a bunch of times over the years, and it always manages to deliver the goods in terms of quality tap selections. Food is usually better than average pub fare, and - even if itís not a food destination - itíll satisfy. But itís the range of taps one visits for, with an extensive selection of US craft, locals, and a decent range of imports. With the other branches in the area, this one now seems on the small side but itís still a goodern.

Nice location. Has a good selection compared to most other bars. Tends to be kind of repetitive and keeps a pretty steady basic menu. The rotationals are nice but not as good as the Durham location, although we do get a few nice ones. Food is alright.

An Institution for the NC beer scene. Much smaller than the Durham location. When you come in from the Main St side, as you can also from the Speakeasy, the bar is on the left and the restaurant on the right. The bar is J shaped with wood and copper top a fancy wood & mirror hutch type thing behind the bar that holds the glasses and some other things. A small couch area beyond the bar. Good Pub grub, nightly special are usually good. Garlic fries can be really garlicy, but Iíve had some dud batches too. 3 TVís in bar area. Solid tap selection that usually has a couple local selections. They try to do the proper glassware. Families come here on a regular basis, bit of a hippy clientele, students and beer geeks. Gets loud at peak times and you will have to wait.

Been here several times but always during the day when the place was dead. Great selection of typical bar fare. About 12 different taps. A couple belgian (maredsous, chimay white) and multiple domestic craft brew taps. I had a rogue imperial porter last time. Have these events on Tuesdays known as "Pint Nights" where you get to keep the matching glass of whatever the nights special pint is. Have yet to make it to one, but always love collecting some new glassware. If I move to Carrboro, I can imagine spending a lot of time here and Milltown up the street.
